Classic diner with a real focus on quality. The chef mans the flat top during rush hour - he's unflappable, runs a clean grill and work station, and puts out good looking and tasting food. Staff is excellent - and this place is a gem. Get there soon...

I was so happy we went out of our way to go to Bob's Diner. It was a fantastic breakfast! I had the Irish Benedict and my wife had the Little hangry. Both were delicious and plenty to eat! Thomas the chef was amazing and very friendly. The staff was attentive and quick. If I lived in NY I would make this my local favorite!

This is a beautiful little piece of Americana that is one of the hidden gems of the Hudson Valley. Walk right into the 1950's, have a seat and enjoy some of the most delicious breakfasts and lunches that you have ever had!!! Say hello to Tom, who is perhaps the greatest short order chef in the world!!! What this man can do with simple ingredients is nothing short of miraculous. Watch him perform his magic with his spatulas on his small grill! It's like a beautiful cooking dance! You will be going back again and again to try everything on the menu! Caution however, if you are over 6'3" tall, watch your head when you enter! lol. Tell him that Monty sent you! ENJOY!

Amazing food with a great feel for ambience and a gorgeous view. Gives nostalgic vibes like I've been going here for years. The service was nice but a tad bit slow but if your with a friend or family it's unnoticeable other than that I still think this is worth the wait and worth a try.

The food here is a wonderful gift! A great timeless experience for breakfast and lunch. Can't go wrong with anything ordered. Coffee is great, portions are generous, incredible and wholesome recipes (eggs benedict, sandwiches, eggs and pancakes are my favorite), everything is excellent really. A hidden gem, incredible food and service, indoor seating is cozy, you can grab a stool and watch the swift breakfast ninja chef Tom on the grill as well. Our favorite breakfast place.

Sat at the counter on a beautiful October Sunday lunch. Coffee with the locals. Watched the boss man the grill.Shredded hash browns of your dreams. A simmering pot for poached eggs.Makes you wanna give up on that city living and move to burbs.90 minutes from grand central on the Harlem line. Make it a day trip!Kid-friendliness: Booths for the kids. Chicken fingers and fries. What else is there to need?

I so wanted to love this place. The interior is amazing and the view from the back room tables is phenomenal. The food was 50/50. The eggs benedict were okay, the "Really Hangry" dish was sub-par, it seems we got the last of the home fries (dry, cold and burned in some places). They were out of whole wheat toast and instead of asking us what else we would prefer instead, they simply brought rye. No explanation. We also waited about 50 minutes for our dishes. While there were quite a few people/tables, this seemed like a lot of time to wait without any check-in from the wait staff. Our first cup of coffee was fantastic, the 2nd one was burned tasting.I did enjoy the menu - there are some clever word puns on some of the dishes. They also charge 4% (!!!) for credit card payments - without letting you know!Overall, a bit disappointing which the view and interior do not make up for.

Small gem in a small town. My wife and I have been here twice now and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best places we have been for breakfast. Coming from a background in food service, I can tend to be highly critical. That being said, the owner here is a master of his craft. He cooks everything himself all day and every day, so there is a consistency in the quality of this far above average diner. Fantastic food and at very reasonable prices. We will be making this a regular dining experience.Parking: 25 cent an hour parking out front and free street parking on the side streets in a very walkable range on sidewalks.
