Wanted to love this place. The look and feel of the spot is that of any place I'd frequent and love to be......BUT I came here on a Saturday night after a football game and was highly disappointed. When my party arrived we were seated and told to scan the menu and then told there was no food available. Only drinks, not terrible but strike one. We ordered a drink, the drink was decent but took forever. The server wasn't the most attentive BY FAR, sometimes we had to actually just call over to the bartender ourselves and the place only had about 10 people in it and 7 were in my group. After the drink, I asked for a glass of water before ordering another drink and the water arrived WITH A ROACH FLOATING IN IT. STRIKE 2 AND 3! After waiting about 10 minutes for the waitress to check in again, I told her and told her I was done ordering in which her response was "Oh ok" as she took the cup away and sat it on the next table and proceeded to ask how I'd be paying for my 1 drink. After a customer found a roach in their drink and it was brought to your attention, you aren't even at least thinking maybe I should comp the single drink they ordered?! That was the final straw and no matter how much I wanted to really like this place especially with the rave reviews, I don't think I could ever go back.

Food was great (Classic cheeseburger), 6 Buffalo wings oh and the drinks were on point. It’s a nice chill spot. The only issue was that the Bartender does everything. He’ll make you a drink, go to the back to get your food and then keep doing that constantly. It’s like a one man army. Felt kind of bad to ask for things because he was also busy making drink for customers. But besides that it’s a really nice spot to watch sports and enjoy great food.

Bricks & Hops is usually a good time. It's a lively bar with good vibes. However, my coworkers and I went last night (Friday night), and they were sorely understaffed. There was one server, one bartender, and the manager trying to serve the entire bar, which was packed. They were great, but they needed much help. It took over an hour to get one drink because the bartender was so backed up. I witnessed one table get up and leave because they said it was taking too long. The manager and server were gracious and gave us a round of shots for our wait, and that was great! I'll def be back, but please consider having more staff, especially during Friday night happy hour.

Stopped at Bricks & Hops for a casual dinner after checking into our hotel for the weekend. We sat at the bar an had an enjoyable time! The bartender provided good service. We enjoyed the nachos, mac and cheese, and shrimp po boy. We were happily surprised to see that happy hour was from 4-8 even on a Friday. Only downside was there was no wine available during our visit - which I get it's more focused on beer - but wine was on the happy hour menu as well but none available at the bar.

Bricks and Hops is the only Beer Garden in the Bronx. It has a nice outdoor space. Antonio and his team make great drinks and they have 100+ beers. They do their best to serve you. The food is delicious. My favorite is the shrimp tacos and wings(any flavor). A great place to hang afterwork and on the weekends.

Both times I have been the atmosphere and music as well as drinks were a 10. Now bad management can ruin a lot, especially new reoccurring regulars. There is a man who sometimes works bars but seems to be a pseudo manager, maybe a relative of the owner. He is rude and dismissive. Food outside of burgers and chicken wings are sub par and they place a strict 90 minute seating rule, even if you are still ordering. I literally left with my entire group and was treated way better at Made in Puerto Rico down the block.Kid-friendliness: Straight up bar, no kidsParking: Busy neighborhood, may have to park a few blocks away.

I came here to celebrate a coworker and her upcoming marriage. It definitely gets packed with the teachers that work around there lol. The music they play is pretty good. The outdoor area is really cute but we couldn't go because it was raining and cold. I can't speak for the food because I wasn't able to stay long enough to eat but the drinks were pretty good. Their happy hour is from 4-8 and the neighborhood is up and coming so I definitely recommend it.

Went here for happy hour and had good time. Ordered the mixed sangria and coconut margarita both were delicious. Didn't have any food but would definitely recommend coming here.

Very nice spot. The owners also own Beatstro around the corner. My sister and I ordered the chicken empanadas and chips and guacamole. They have a very good variety of craft beers and cocktails. We would definitely come back for a chill vibe since we noticed they also have a bunch of games (jenga, operation, connect 4, etc.) Overall, first time was very good.
