I like a clean place, I ordered breakfast and it was delicious. I am Jamaican and I cook myself so I hold these restaurants to high standards in terms of flavor. I believe the gentleman that served me was the owner and he was polite. I haven’t been back to this place in 2 years since they opened and I moved to the Middle East so it was good to see them still there when I got back. I’ll be trying the diner next time. Hopefully the oxtail falls off the bone, I’ll make another review soon.

This restaurant has some good food, but they have very poor restaurant service etiquette. They stare at you when you walk in and don’t greet you at all, which makes the experience awkward and unpleasant. They don’t even ask to take your order just stare which is extremely rude. Which is why I don’t tip and I’m big on tipping for good service. Too much rude boy energy, they must think it’s cool but it isn’t at all. After going there now a few times, and having the same experience with several different servers. I won’t be going back.

The food is good. The cornmeal porridge was too sweet. My niece have peanut allergy and it was a cross contamination with the oats with peanut porridge. Please be more careful food allergies can be deadly. Thank you.

The food was nasty and the customer service wasn’t good at all. The guy making my food was more interested in watching his tv show then taking the order,

Front Page Restaurant & Lounge is one of the newer restaurants in the area and definitely one of the cleanest. They serve Caribbean Jamaican cuisine and is located just under the end of the 2 train in the Bronx. I've driven by the restaurant a couple times but never stopped in because to 241st and the other side of White Plains Rd past the train station is not one of the safest areas. One morning my husband comes in with breakfast - Ackee and salt fish, cornmeal porridge, chicken backs and fried dumplings with an array of juices for us to enjoy. I spent plenty of time picking meat off the chicken backs for my two year old who still learning to use his words but kept saying "Yum Yum" for more. Everything was delicious. A few days later I asked my husband where he got the food from because I was craving the flavors again. My initial visit was nice. Friendly service and the prices are clearly listed and they give good size portions. They have a cute juice bar off to the side and fridge filled with Jamaican treats. I came for dinner so I got j*** chicken fried rice with brown stew chicken and steam veggies. Again delicious and I will be back. Great place, I give it 4 stars - I subtracted 1 star purely for the location but if you could drop this restaurant in a better area it would easily be 5 stars. I can't wait to taste more from here!
