Came here to celebrate passing an exam! It was quiet, music was playing and the games were on. Service was great. We sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves. Definitely a place to visit. We had cheese bread, lamb chops, and pasta with shrimp and grilled chicken. Food came out quick, and was hot. Drinks were great. We had a Moscow Mule and some others.

I'm giving this place a 5,because of the location and parking space. This place used to be a very good after work spot. Back in the days it was packed, good music and great atmosphere. The food was good nice portions and tasty, staff is always friendly and fast. I haven't been here since the pandemic, for a Saturday night it was super empty. I will still return.

I hadn't been here in a minute and went for Happy Hour with the work fam. We had a great time and the vibe was chill. Nice decor and the food was yum!!! Penne vodka chicken pizza, mozzarella sticks, wings, and calamari, we had a bit of everything. The bartender was great, took care of us and made a strong tasty cocktail regardless of what was ordered. Impeccable service and the music playing in the background was perfect, not too loud, not too low. I shall be back!'

Wish they could get no stars. Growing up I loved this place. Used to go weekly and even knew some of the servers. I relocated and years later came back due to a death in the family. After grieving and going to grab food I made the only suggestion I was confident to be a great time. When we walked in a group of 5 no one greeted us and servers and runners stood at the end of the bar texting and staring at us. When I asked if we seat ourselves the girl said sit there or there pointing to 2 tables in an empty restaurant. We sat down and menus were put in a pile on the table and she left. Entrees go for almost $50 each which was fine is the service was up to par. From the beginning the server took awhile to take our drink order and when asked what bottled beverages she had she listed a few while rolling her eyes. When we asked for Pepsi she said all bottle beverages were at the pizza shop and we weren't allowed to have them. The two restaurants are connected and same owner so already I was annoyed. The girl continue rolling her eyes at us while she gave us bread and water. I left to go around the corner to purchase a bottled drink from the other side of the restaurant. When I came back I noticed my mom ordered coffee and was confused because she asked for cream and sugar but the waitress just stood in eyesight at the bar texting. I approached and asked if we did something to her to make her give us attitude and she kept giving me dirty looks and said if I was mad about the bottled beverages she has to follow the rules. I explained it was the whole interection. She then asked if I had a problem and I told her excuse me?? She repeated herself and I said u about to have a problem. I went to the table and told my family we were leaving. As we walked out a fat, African American older woman folding napkins started yelling at us callin us nasty and saying she's not the adddress she will do something. So I said no wonder your restaurant is empty, it's filled with trash and laughed at them. The girl kept yelling at us and calling us nasty bitches. How classy and professional of an establishment. No manager in sight, no other workers stepping in to diffuse the situation and just being so horrible on an already bad day we were having. Ghetto front of house staff but the audacity to charge almost $35-65 an appetizer. If you have the money go somewhere you are treated of value this place is not living up to the hype. Sooooo disappointed especially when i was a customer for years :(

Bar area is really nice, dining area is really dated looking. Service was attentive and considerate. Food is decent but the prices are unjustifiably expensive. Average price for salad is 23/25 dollars... I can find just as good places if not better in Manhattan with better prices. Somehow this place doubles the prices of Manhattan across the board pretty much. These owners really need to adjust their prices unless this is a front for other things going on. For a 10 piece chicken wings and one glass of wine, $41.24 (with tip).

Management is unreasonable. Last minute upwards price adjustment for group luncheon spoiled the ambience of the occasion. We were forced to take our business elsewhere

Great food. Wonderful atmosphere

It's extremely painful to buy 2 plates of food and 2 drinks for $89 and it taste like nothing I mean absolutely nothing. What further pissed me off is that we was charged $27 for just plain Alfredo and $12 for a piece of fish, since when is plain Alfredo is $27?. The shrimp in the linguine was 2x over cooked to the point I couldn't even eat it. Yes, it seems we were the last customers but it's better not to take an order then to serve your customer tasteless food for all that money. I wouldn't be mad if the food was good but this don't make no sense. Even after adding the basic salt, pepper and garlic it was still terrible. Nope I won't be back Oh the part was this

Too expensive for what's being served and for the average median income of people in the neighborhood! What the heck happened to this place? Used to be jumping!

Whay HAPPENED to the Gbar?!?! This place used to be AMAAAZING. Been coming here regularly since 2008...mainly for happy hour bcuz that's where a lot of teachers went. They USED to have to best sangria but I went there on Friday 2/17/23 after not coming here for about 4 years... and it was blah. The sangria had ICE in it and hardly any fruit? and it did NOT have that signature taste that it once did. The zucchini sticks were almost burnt and the calamari just tasted funny. It was really thick pieces and I like the smaller more crunchy calamari. I did order the chicken marsala to take home and that was good but that's it. The only good thing was the waiter. His name was Kevin and he was such a sweetie pie!! Very attentive!! Kevin gets 5 stars but....that's not how this whole review thing works ????Also, it waa really empty for a Friday. It used to be packed! And what happened to the Friday DJ? It's like a shell of It's former self... RIP Gbar...That place used to be one of my favorite spots. It'll be a very long time before I return.

Food absolutely slaps. Service rocks. Kinda hard to find, doors are solid black. If you DO find it, you should order the lasagna and cheese steak!

Right off the bat these guys are ridiculously expensive ! The food quality , service and the interior do not match the price points for what these folks deliver. I would suggest another restaurant for sure, i only stopped here with friends one day between classes because sadly there's not many places in the vicinity and i wont be doing it again. The crab cakes were ok but a bill close to $200 for mediocre food is crazy to me ... you live and you learn.
