Celebrated a friend's birthday, and the team at Jake's made it memorable. Outstanding service at the bar and in the upstairs dining area. All the dishes were flavorful and delicious - fried calamari, mussels, and our steak and chicken entrees. Fantastic neighborhood gem!
I think they are starting to prove themselves out. You don't expect it to be an inexpensive evening but their prices are high for the area. I was taken aback to see that they had a separate cash and credit price that seemed a bit tacky for such a seemingly high end restaurant. The food and service are amazing once you get past the sticker shock.
We took the family out for one of our sons birthdays, and we had a nice time! Pretty quiet for a Wednesday evening, a few other people eating and two people at the bar. For our appetizer, we ordered Calamari and fried pickles, which were delicious. The calamari was a little bit chewy and rubbery, but it was OK.
