The food is amazing starter with flle and byrek and amazing red house wine and after with tave kosi(yougurt in oven with lamb) and speca t mbushur.
The staff is amazing and willing to explain everything.
A cozy restaurant adorned with traditional Albanian artifacts, with even the waitstaff dressed in authentic attire, creating a culturally immersive atmosphere. The portions are on the smaller side, but the prices are quite reasonable.
The chicken soup and trilece were delicious and well prepared. The beef goulash was slightly salty, while the grilled octopus was a bit chewy and lacked seasoning. The grilled vegetables, however, were perfectly cooked and flavorful.
Cka ka Qellu has always been one of the best representations of Albanian traditional food and hospitality in the U.S. Every single time we’ve visited—whether in the Bronx, Manhattan, or Connecticut—the experience has been excellent. The food has consistently been top-tier, full of authentic flavor, and prepared with real care.
