The drinks (Malibu bay breeze) were okay the taste was good but needed a little more liquor but still delicious. For appetizers we got chicken empanadas (0/10) they were not good at all so we sent them back. The filling was like dry rotisserie check with no flavor and the disc was just nasty. We also ordered the alcapurias they were very good. For meals we got pork chops with tostones 2/10 the pork chops were tuff and dry tostones were Slammin tho with the garlic sauce. Next 3 meals were chicharon de pollo sin hueso with arroz con gandules and white rice and beans(4/10) the chicken was mediocre but the arroz con gandules was not tasteful we did not eat it and the white rice was overly salted and beans were not good also left untouched. There is one person serving the restaurant, she attends the bar and people dinning in. One server for the restaurant is very overwhelming but she was very kind and did an amazing job. It took almost an hour to get appetizers and more for our dinner. We went to celebrate my mom’s birthday And we were truly disappointed. The server did the best she could w what she was felt with so she gets 10/10
The owner is the sweetest ever. Believe it or not in The Bronx, NY it is so hard to find authentic Puerto Rican Cuisine. This right here is a heavy hitter on authenticity. The rice and guandules is done the right PR way. I've seen many others do rice DR style and portray it as PR. Both delicious but when I'm craving PR food, that is what I want. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable.
I was sad to hear that they are at risk of closing. Putting out this review in hopes that my NYC Google family will gather to help them!
We ordered plaintain both sweet and savory. All done to perfection. The chuletas (porkchops) were fried and seasoned well. Great meat to slight fattiness ratio. The way I love it done. The churrasco was perfectly cooked and very tender. The several mofongos we ordered were to die for. Mucho sabor! Very flavorful. It had the soft exterior and a few crunchy chicharron for texture. The way it should be done. The drinks were good. The dining area was woody, earthy and cozy. Very welcoming. Going into an establishment that represents part of my culture and being able to honestly rate it 5 stars is an absolute honor. I pray that they continue to flourish. If you're local and craving delicious spanish food, give them a shot!

Wait time was long given the boost they recently got on TikTok, but honestly it was all worth the wait!! They had one bartender/waitress who did it all! She was wonderful. I went with a party of three and got an order of chicken pastelitos which were so good! We also got two camarofongos and one mofongo with masitas. All plates were delicious!! On Sundays they also do karaoke which made the wait time more fun. Would definitely come back, the staff here is so nice and the food was delicious.

Decided to stop by for lunch today after seeing Righteous Eats’ TikTok, and owner Maribel did not disappoint. Stepping into this restaurant feels like stepping into a restaurant in Puerto Rico, and the food is authentic. We got the masitas con mofongo which comes with a side of caldo (soup/sauce) to dip your food into. Everything was seasoned really well, there was no need to grab the salt and pepper on the table. The portions are really good and you can definitely split this with someone. I was looking forward to trying the flan, but I guess a lot of other people saw the same TikTok and decided to go for dinner last night cause they were sold out! When we were getting our check the owner herself stopped by to ask us how everything was which was super sweet, and shows how much care and effort she puts into her cooking. We were also told that they have a bunch of different event nights, such as karaoke, a DJ, comedy and more. We’ll definitely be coming back - and recommending it to more people looking for some home cooked food away from home.

The people here make it feel like home. At 81 grandma was in the kitchen cooking and the food was amazing. I'm definitely coming back!

The food tasted like my Grandmother’s cooking. Authentic and delicious. There’s a comfortable ambience, classy yet approachable. The lovely bartender Justine was welcoming, made excellent drinks, and she just made my experience a lot of fun. I’ll definitely be back.
