It's always a pleasure coming back here. From the food to entertainment, I would choose here every single time. I brought my bestie here for her birthday and she loved it! I love their happy birthday club board lol

Music too loud , my whole table got their food but mine , besides the fact that the food took for ever , i didnt get my food .. apparently the waitress forgot to put my order . Not very pleasant expirience. Dont know if ill be back

Food was fantastic. The service was spectacular. Jasmin and Osiris kept our large group absolutely happy the entire time. Whether it was another lime, a new drink or just coming by to keep the table clean and not cluttered they gave us the best service we could've asked for. This was out family's first time at Vistamar and we will be going back to celebrate again or just to enjoy the music and food.

I have to admit even the Valet service was quick and exactly what you should expect from a place of this caliber.

The only thing I will give you a heads up on is there is music played the whole time. Sometimes a DJ and a show. It can be a bit loud if you aren't expecting it. It was good salsa and bachata. It's definitely a place we will go back to.

This place is the place to be, I went there with my family it was my Moms Birthday. The food was excellent and the server MÍGUELO was excellent. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Not the Same Anymore

I’ve been coming here since day one, but unfortunately, things have gone downhill. The food wasn’t great — the lobster was clearly frozen, not fresh, and lacked flavor.

The entire place smelled heavily of hookah, and the smoke made it really hard to enjoy the atmosphere — it was cloudy and uncomfortable. Even the entertainment, which used to be a highlight, just wasn’t the same.

Really disappointed this time. I hope they take feedback seriously and bring back the quality and vibe they once had!!

What's sad is I drove from Suffolk Long Island to come back to city island (grew up in the Bronx) to take my mom out for a wonderful bday dinner. What ended up happening was at 2 pm on a Sunday it had blasting music as if we're a loud club, I couldn't hear my own sister inches away from me, my two nephews (4 and 1) were hysterically crying from the noise from the DJ and the irony is two Mickey Mouse/Minnie Mouse mascots were there making it seem kid friendly but the kids weren't enjoying it. The waitress was sweet but said she couldn't get the DJ to turn down the music and couldn't move us to a different table unless it was in the 87 degree heat outdoor section so we had to leave and eventually ended up finding an amazing restaurant nearby to enjoy. Never again.

Had a great Meal... Miguel was a phenomenal server.

En particular no me gustó, tenía reserva y tuve que esperar unos 15 min por mi mesa, la comida no fue buena , mi esposo ordenó un churrasco y estaba horrible, seco y nada presentable. El servicio malísimo, la chica tuvo muy pocas atenciones, creo que al estar incluida automáticamente las propinas lo meseros se esfuerzan poco o nada por dar buen servicio. Y para terminar la noche dicen que tienen parqueos y no tuvimos que parquear súper lejos fuera del establecimiento. Hace dos años celebre mi cumple año allí y fue una experiencia buena, pero volví y todo fue muy diferente para mal.

Excelente servicio, ambiente, comodidad, nos pusieron en un lugar con una bella vista, el mesero no recuerdo su nombre es blanquito, calvo me parece que es venezolano súper atento y amable, la comida los tragos 10/10, volvería de nuevo sin pensarlo gracias por hacer mi cumpleaños tan lindo.

I visited Vistamar this friday and was disappointed with the overall service. Our waitress seemed inexperienced and unprepared, which affected the flow of the entire meal. There were long delays in taking our order she totally forgot about it im pretty sure , because 20 minutes later she came back and took the order again. basic requests like drink refills, I asked her for pina colada and reminded her about an hour later and told her i didn't want it anymore and take it off the bill , she told me that it wasn't on the bill to begin with and for me not to worry( i wasn't worry about money i just wanted my drink😡) updates on our food were either forgotten or ignored.
While the setting was nice i was seating in the outside area sooo beautiful ) and the food was 10/10 the lack of attentive and professional service made for a frustrating experience.when asked for a dry wine recommendation she bluntly told me she didn't know about wines and the she was sorry(instead of getting me someone that knows) She seen nervous i think she was a new employee because i have never seen her before ,but that doesn't give her the right to bring us whatever food she wants and said thats what we ordered and had the audacity to tell us she was going to pay it out her own money as if we were peasants begging for food.hope the management invests more in training their new staff to ensure a better experience for future guests I been here like 5 times and never had a problem all 5 times had excellent service from all their servers. Lastly I asked her if i can adjust the tip i thought was fair accordingly and she said no that gratuity was included. The food was amazing as always i couldn't get her name but she had glasses and with kind of short light brown hair kind of tall . I will speak to chacho because this is unacceptable.

Our waiter could be more attentive especially when we had to wait for him to pour our next unlimited drink during brunch.
