Overall, Haiku is pretty good, they are consistent and I like them. To my understanding, there are 3 locations around me including the White Plains, Scarsdale and Bronxville locations. I have found that the Bronxville location ONLY charges me for a lesser substititution. I ordered a sushi roll and opted out of TUNA for a substitution that is cheaper in price, and I was charged a fee, again, only at this location, as I have done this at the White Plains/Scarsdale locations and no additional fee was charged. I cannot see why I was charged a fee, like I said, the replacement that I opted for is lesser in price than tuna and I believe the sushi is made fresh everytime, so I would say it was an INCONVENIENCE fee, but in this instance, I don't know if that can be applied, but who knows. Again, only at this location. Just a heads up for fellow customers.

I go here often. Love this place. Fresh sushi!! I usually get the Salmon Dinner with King Salmon, So succulents almost feels like it’s melting in your mouth.

The best sushi in the area. There used to be a place in tuckahoe that competed but they’re gone now. BUT THE BEST THING is they are the kind of place when you drop your bag with the wonton soup in it they check right away to make sure I don’t break the container and that I was set. They’re great people and I am always happy to give them my business.

Terrible customer service! Ordered through Uber Eats app this evening. I called the restaurant first to ask if they could replace the chicken in the pad thai and another dish with tofu as it is lent and we have a vegan. They said to just put it in the special directions, which I did, very clearly. When the order arrived, the pad thai had chicken. I called and they said their chef had made the mistake but they couldn’t help me that I had to go through uber eats and get a refund. Okay, mistakes happen. I asked if I could order the correct dish through them since she said they do have delivery within 3 miles. We are 1.7 miles away (I looked it up). I didn’t l want to pay the fee and delivery for uber again since I’d paid it once already. She said no. I said I’d pay for the order since I would get a refund through uber I just wanted to put in an order by phone and was already told they would deliver within three miles. She wouldn’t take my order and said I was outside their delivery area, which I am not. I was really nice and patient on the phone and tried to explain what I wanted thinking maybe she didn’t understand. But she just tried to get me off the phone and kept saying to contact uber eats. So now after an hour and half, $85, and doing everything I should have done with patience and politeness, one person in the family still doesn’t have dinner, has to wait another 45 minutes for arrival (from another place of course), and we have to pay fees and a tip again. Never again Haiku!!!

I am not the type of person to get sick from food - but this food made me sick for 2 days. The beef did not taste like real meat. As well, most Asian style restaurants offer a soup or salad with the entree, so when asked, a friend and I got a salad, and a soup each, but were then charged for each one. When asked about it, they said that's only lunch special. Neverrrr heard of that. Wouldn't have even gotten it then.
