I've been to many different private karaoke spots in the city and tried out 233 Star for the first time last night. Great value, great staff, and overall great vibe! Will definitely come back! Excited to see the song selection continue to expand.

We had a ladies brunch in the area and didn't want the party to stop called ahead to make sure there would be able to accommodate and it was easy. BIG SHOUT TO Shubim, he was doing everything. Got all 23 of us setup in the VIP room and got us the drinks and we had an excellent 2hrs. We will definitely be back. Great vibes!

Amazing service always!!
Like others, had the experience of the ever changing price. Came on a Thursday night, website clearly states $6/per person/per hour. Got told for two of us to sing would be $30 an hour.
Uh, no.
Pointed out the sign, on their own wall, that reflected the same prices as their website.
Was informed there was a 3 person minimum. Great, that's still $18 an hour, not $30. The equipment and tech are painfully outdated and didn't work. You either flip through a binder whose font is so tiny it's hard to read... or you use their QR code to go to a website where the font also still tiny. There's no recommended list or popular/top song lists, you just have to come up with everything on your own.
We could not get the equipment to consistently work. One of the microphones never turned on. We went to go check out after 15 minutes and got informed we would be charged for 0-20 minutes. Perfect.
Now the math was somehow $25 for 1/3 of an hour.
We told him there was no way we were paying $100 an hour rate for two people to realize their shitty equipment didn't work.
We could not get him to understand their own math of three people minimum, $6 per hour, the system clearly allows them to rate it by a fraction of an hour, so the total should have been ~$6. Gave up and left after settling the tab for $23 after their mandatory 19% tip, 8% tax, 3% credit card fee. We paid just to get out of there, because after 10 minutes of watching this poor guy trying to figure out math on his cell phone and failing spectacularly, we were just over the whole experience. $6 x 3 people / 3 of an hour completely broke this man.
If you go, do not expect the equipment to work and you have absolutely no idea what they are going to demand of you monetarily at the end, no matter what you agree on at the beginning.
Best Fries.. fresh and crispy. Love the atmosphere and the staff/ service is great! Great spot to hang out after work or weekends.

So fun. 11 of us for my friends birthday. We paid around $350 total for the private room though (they include a 20% tip in the private room rental even if you don't buy drinks or food...)
They were very patient and understanding
