sometimes i run to Bushwick--maybe that's symbolic of my need for an escape from Lower Manahattan or just a desire to be in a different neighb. either way, my coffee waystation of late has been Wyckoff Starr. it's a very small shop--eclectic, artsy-ish, & welcoming. there are a couple of seats inside but to me that's the incentive--go out and explore Bushwick with "a damn fine cup of coffee" in hand. there's a menu of coffee drinks plus a selection of savory as well as sweet eats....read full review
