Recently moved to Williamsburg, and as a vegetarian, I’ve been so excited to try a variety of restaurants. We made a reservation and when we arrive, there was about a five minute wait. We had absolutely no problem with that as typically there are weights at restaurants, even with a reservation, but a man who I believe was the manager brought us water and an appetizer to snack on while we waited and apologized more times than necessary. Best part is when we did sit down and have dinner. This ended up being the best Indian food I’ve ever had! Excited to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Service is the star of the show at this buzzing Indian eatery in Williamsburg. Atithi translates to “Guest” in Hindi and they do take that seriously with warm, attentive hospitality even on a busy weekend night. The food is great too. Samosas are mind blowing. Bombay bhel needs improvement. Paneer makhani has generous pieces of paneer and a sweet-spicy flavor. Garlic naan and Roti are on point. They listened to our feedback and also gave us Gulab Jamun on the house. Delightful!Overall highly recommend Atithi.

really top notch place. BYOB, great prix fixe deal for dinner. all the classics you know and love executed at a way higher level than usual. papadum (free) and naan fantastic. particularly have to shout out the rasmalai for dessert, quite simply the best Indian dessert I have ever had, and I have been to 6th street and Jackson Heights and Curry Hill many times. lovely light texture, perfectly seasoned, not too sweet. attentive service, cute decor, and their water cups are those metal ones that make it extra cold and refreshing.

Absolutely delicious food and sweet staff. I had the chicken korma, which was savory, flavorful, and just the right amount of spicy. The staff was kind and helpful. I’ll be back!

This Indian spot in Williamsburg is legit. Known for its no-holds-barred approach to spice, it totally lives up to its rep. Hit it up for their lunch special – 15 bucks for an appetizer and main. Tossed in a killer cheese naan too. Kicked off with this dal lentil soup – rich, tasty, full of flavor. Then dove into the vindaloo chicken. They warned me it's super spicy, and they weren't kidding. It's like a spice marathon. I can usually handle my heat, but this was next level. Delicious, but fiery to the point of almost being painful. The chicken itself was spot-on, and the gravy? Spicy heaven. Grabbed some coconut chutney to cool down a bit, and it did the trick. If you're a spice fiend, this dish is a must-try. Might just be one of the hottest things you can get in NYC. They really get it – when you ask for spicy here, they don’t hold back. Props to the friendly staff as well. If you're all about that spice life, you've gotta check this place out.

Most flavorful Indian spot without being overly spicy. Although you can request more spice, their "mild" still has a decent kick to it and is still packed with flavor. They do BYOB as well so it's a nice option for groups. Great vegan and gluten free options as well. And their service is wonderful. I brought my step-son here to try Indian food for the first time and he ordered the chicken biryani and it was a little too spicy for him but our server continued to check on him and brought sides of yogurt sauce to cut the heat. Atithi will always be my go-to-spot for Indian! For my fellow vegans, I recommend:- pakora (appetizer)- aloo gobi- chana masala- daal
