What a delightful dinner experience with food, wine and atmosphere. The host was super friendly and informative. I was pleasantly surprised with all the flavor that every dish brought. I have been meaning to come to this neighborhood sport for a while now and it did not disappoint. We were celebrating my mother’s birthday and wanted to try a local restaurant with fine fare. We ordered the whole chicken and it was so delicious, we paired with the beet dish and charred salad special and Mac and cheese. We also had the suggested white wine pairing that went really well with our dinner. Overall a really lovely evening with food and ambiance. Highly recommended and will def be back!

Low blue ceilings, open kitchen, and dim lights. The moment you step into Badaboom, their Parisian rotisserie chicken locks eyes with you as it slowly rotates on the spit. Seating is cozy and tight, with unique furniture and accent pieces. Some of the art on the walls is from the chef himself; it seems every French person is artistic, huh?
Both the carrots and ratatouille were exceptional and complemented all of the mains very well. I highly recommend splitting a large ratatouille for the table to add tomato and roasted vegetable flavors to your palate. Before we get into the 7 oz steak frites, let me tell you about the Potatoes au Gratin. This is probably one of my new favorite potato dishes in NYC. The texture was unreal, with the layers of potatoes merging together, blanketed in butter and cream, and salted perfectly. You could tell they spent the extra time needed to bring this coveted French dish to life in Bed-Stuy.
The steak au poivre came as hunks of medium-rare beef dressed in pan sauce. Crusted and peppered well, it wasn’t too tough to cut, and there was zero meat left behind. Through and through, an excellent steak. The fries were big, classic, freshly fried potato chunks that absorbed the leftover sauce and were dunked into one of the few delicious additional sauces you can order.
As always, dining is elevated through experience. From the service to the music, it is nothing short of an experience at Badaboom.

Chicken was delicious, served with potatoes which are not to be overlooked. I liked that the chicken came in a gravy of sorts, not just the drippings. Rice pudding is a different kind I’ve never had, almost whipped cream like. It was marshmallowy and perfect.
Star of the show for me was the chicory salad on special. Really unbelievable, with these darkened almond pieces, olives, and a fab dressing. We even asked them to tell us more so we could try to recreate it at home! Very kind and accommodating folks. Will be back :)

Met a great french gentleman who was the host there. Not only did he make great recs (tartare is exceptional), but he was kind and accommodating. The food (the chicken and potatoes) was beyond amazing, filled with flavor and HUGE portions. I would ofc recommend their famous potatoes and chicken and if you're a chocolate lover as for their chocolate salted dessert.

Just an amazing addition to the neighborhood. My first visit led me to visiting three times in the same way the chicken is that good and the service is exceptional. The owner is a gracious host and it’s a wonderful laid-back casual atmosphere and a great crowd. This is a restaurant that has its own uniqueness and just absolutely flat out delicious.
