Mitchell's Kitchen offers delicious curry chicken with flavorful sauce, although the rice can sometimes be dry. It is known for having the best oxtail in Brooklyn at a good price, with well-cooked meals that are not oily. The restaurant features a variety of authentic Jamaican cuisine, including favorites like jerk chicken, stewed chicken, and fried chicken. Vegetarian options such as callaloo and codfish are also available. The homemade juice is refreshing and not overly sugary, adding to the homey feel of the place. Customers appreciate the pleasant owner and cook, as well as the welcoming atmosphere. Authentic Indian goat roti with perfectly spiced curry provides a taste of home. One reviewer mentioned the soft, buttery stew chicken and the sweet, crispy plantains as highlights of their meal, indicating that many trips are in store for them.
