Great vegan spread!
I think I was upcharged, first of all. I got a super small bagel when I asked for a gf bagel, and it wasn’t toasted or anything. it was just ok but somehow rang up as almost $9. the banana bread i got was not fresh, and the flavor is off; it says it’s chocolate peanut butter banana bread but it doesn’t taste like peanut butter at all. it also rang up as kore expensive than the menu price. i felt pretty duped. can’t recommend this place unfortunately

Really poor customer service - I would not recommend coming here for birthday cakes or anything really. They tell you to call by a certain time to put your cake order in, which I did, but then they put you on hold until after the cake ordering window. Then when I repeatedly call back they don't pick up. Finally someone answered with an awful attitude and took no accountability for the issue. I have been in this store in the past and also have had negative experiences with the workers, so I won't be coming back.
Cute space. Brooklyn blackout cake and cupcake are great. Strawberry shortcake cake is good too. Nice staff & excellent service

So I read through some reviews because I thought it was me. But apparently some would agree. Yes I think 10 bucks for a slice is steep but it their big cuts to me. Dry yes and customer service is dry as well. They can stand to be a little more friendly I think then ppl wouldn't mind the prices.

Had the raspberry tart which was overly sweet and also dry and crumbly even for a tart. Couldn’t take more than one bite. The staff were lovely however!

I recently had a slice of their Chocolate Blackout Cake and it was absolutely delicious, so when we were in Bushwick this evening, I decided to try some of their other cakes…and was THOROUGHLY disappointed. Their “Hostess” chocolate cake was mealy and bone dry. What little marshmallow filling and icing were on the cake did little to help. The Carrot cake was also mealy and bone dry and the icing was so incredibly sweet I could barely eat it. I suggest adding some pineapple or plumped raisins for moisture and please, stick to a cream cheese frosting. What you’re using tastes like it’s from a supermarket. Service was distracted to the point of inattentive. And lastly, ppl are paying TEN BUCKS a slice. Why the Hell are you squeezing 3 slices into one box? Very, very disappointed and won’t be back.

I was very excited to try this place after seeing their page on instagram & all the different cakes they had, but this place had only 6 different cake flavors and 3 were vegan. I still tried the oreo cake slice which was dry and tasteless. Definitely Overpriced!! Stay away from this place. Go to Little Cupcake Bake shop in NYC instead.

I come here for the bagels and cake. the coffee is ok. they’re known for their Brooklyn Blackout chocolate cake and it is worth trying! it’s very rich, sweet, and chocolatey. I would also recommend the strawberry shortcake, but again, it is very high in sugar and a couple bites are enough for me. the slices of cake are about $10 each and incredibly large. friendly staff and interesting/thrifty decor.
