Maloya Reviews
Such a hidden gem! Beautiful aesthetic, amazing murals on the wall, and most importantly: the food was amazing! I just wish there would have been a bit more sauce, just because it was so delicious and there was a lot of rice.
Absolute gem, one of the best meals I had in the city, can’t recommend the cocktails enough
Food is delicious and fresh. There is a wait during peak hours. Friday and Saturday.

Maloya offers spectacular food with cultural influences combined in unexpected ways. The atmosphere and design create a wonderful experience for date nights or gatherings. The restaurant features dishes like shrimp, pork sausage, beef Bourgignon, samousas, and lamb, all prepared with authentic flavors. The food is super traditional with a rustic country charm, and the flavor combinations are terrific and exciting for the palate. Delicious cocktails highlight Agricole rhums, with the rhum being strong and cocktails mixed very well. Vegetarian options like Champignon bourgignon are available, and the sausage rougail made with homemade sausages is highly praised. The restaurant provides great, passionate service, and the decor includes an incredible Creole hut with successful frescoes. It is wheelchair accessible, and parking is convenient with about 40 spots nearby. The lamb was the jaaam, delicious and nutritious, and the shrimp and lamb tasted very warm and homemade. The salad with goat cheese is a starter highly recommended. Don’t skip on dessert, the corn cake was very good with some of the freshest ice cream. The appetizer platter, with salt cod fritters, and the braised lamb, spiced and cooked to perfection, were superb. The service was personal and really good. Maloya is a wonderful place for those seeking authentic, flavorful Creole cuisine in a cozy setting.
