Went there because it's the only cafe close to my work. Place is small and expensive. When it comes to food and drink, it's very bad. I had a latte and a cheese biscuit. The biscuit and latte tasted terrible, and it was expensive. I spent more than $10 and had to throw out my drink and biscuit. I would not go there again.
The cinnamon roll alone gives this place major points. Such a cute spot!
Really yummy tizane! Tried the hibiscus. Has no sugar. Tastes like agua de jamaica (for my Hispanic folks)
We visited the bakery on Sunday and had a mixed experience. On the bright side, the chocolate Bundt cake was absolutely delicious—rich and moist, a real treat. However, the rest of our order left us disappointed. The cookies came out dried and stale, and the cupcake was so dry we couldn’t even eat it. It felt like they were selling old baked goods.
To add to the hassle, the takeout order didn’t include bags, which made it tricky to carry everything—we even ended up dropping one cookie. Overall, while the Bundt cake saved our visit, we hope they improve the quality and packaging of their other items soon.
We went on a Sunday so street parking was not that difficult. We got some cupcakes because they looked pretty and the flavors sounded great but they all tasted horrible and were very hard that we each took one bite of each item then threw it out. We also got the pecan bar and a peanut butter Nutella one - both were not worth the price and my kids hated it. We also ended up throwing them out.
Also the employee that was helping us seemed very impatient which caused us to feel flustered and I didn’t get to order more than I would usually for trying a bakery for the first time - albeit I have to say it benefited us since we didn’t like anything we did get so would just have been an added waste of money.
We came here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The seating was comfortable with options to seat by the window, on a small table, or even on a larger table with long seats. We had the banana bread with chocolate chips, which was delicious.
Best pastries in Red Hook!
Kid-friendliness: They love kids here and are so kind to families.

Pretty community-engaged bakery. Cute space with seating inside.
?❤️?Croissant was out of my expectations! Their croissant reminded me of the pineapple bun in Chinese bakeries. It was brick-liked crunchy outside, soft and pliable inside. I made myself a sandwich at home.
The apple spiced cake was a classic. Moist but a little bit oily for me.
The brownie and cookie thing was the same. Delicious but slightly too oily.

Cute place. There are a number of coffee shops on this stretch of Van Brunt. Absolutely the best food. Coffee is good.
Biggest downside? Extremely slow to order, walk out and go somewhere else if there's more than a few people on line or be prepared to wait!

They made our wedding cake, with only a weeks notice! We chose the citrus passion fruit and had some lemon drop cupcakes. 10/10 so delicious! Looked fabulous. Wonderful to work with

Bake is the go to place for a nice loaf of banana bread with chocolate chip. The cashier new my name as soon as I walked in. He is so friendly. Knows all the customs by name that walks through the door. Definitely going back again for my next loaf.

Smores cookie was very cinnamon-y and the brookster was too sweet.
Cute cafe though.
