Decent drinks but truly the worst service I’ve had in a while. Looking at reviews, it looks something’s really gone downhill recently
Among other highlights: * Rushed out well before any of us were finished * The bartender misheard a drink order and got upset at us for “trying to order off menu” * almost every party that walked in the door after us get yelled at for trying to sit at the bar
We’ve been to both locations a number of times before and had good experiences, but tonight felt very different. Not sure if it was an off night, but I don’t think we’ll be returning.

extremely rude bartender, will make up bs rules & push you out in 40min before you finished the drink, have fun lol

As you can see from my review history, I rarely, if ever, give poor reviews. And, maybe, tonight things were ‘just off.’ But this place has to have some of the rudest bartenders I’ve encountered in Brooklyn. Ruined the experience at what seemed to be a promising place!
A sequence of events:
(a) I arrive at bar to meet date. Sign says ‘Please Wait to be Seated.’ No one acknowledges I am there. I eventually mosey on up to the bar. Note: it is not busy at all;
(b) Bartender 1 continues to chat up patrons near me (regulars?) Zero interaction. Okay…;
(c) After chatting up (different) patrons for quite some time, Bartender 2 comes over to take my drink order and brings water. I order. Bartender 2 corrects my order by drawing attention to my speech impairment—thanks;
(c) My date arrives and uses the restroom. Bartender 2 (without asking) moves date’s water, napkin, and menu to the seat on the other side of me. Proceeds to snap ‘we keep seating in pairs here.’ Great, but, again, see above re: not busy at all;
(d) Drinks were brought. Zero follow up re: how the drinks were and/or inquiring if we had any questions about the menu;
(e) icing on cake: Bartender 1 and Bartender 2 (within earshot of date and me) have an actual verbal back-and-forth. ‘Are you going to be mad at me all night’ vs. ‘Are you going to victim blame?’
We didn’t even stay for dinner…we paid for our drinks and summarily left.

By far one of my new favorite bars in the area. The drinks were perfect and you can tell they were made with expertise. Definitely get the miso wings while you’re here as well since those hit the spot. Looking forward to coming back soon to try out a few other drink options.

Best bar snacks in New York. The drinking snacks are all delicious, and they’re the perfect complements to the nice boozy drinks. My favorite snacks are the miso wings, and any of the croquettes, especially the curry rice croquette. My favorite drink here is the plum boulevardier; it’s strong, complex, and slightly fragrant from the plum. Their drink menu changes about once a season, which is nice to keep the selections fresh, but they’ll keep some of their classics, like the plum boulevardier. The atmosphere is sleek and sophisticated, and the service is excellent, especially with Matthew.
