This is a gem in Brooklyn. Absolutely perfectly curated- you walk into an off-the-path speakeasy that you’d find perhaps in the 4th Arrondissment, or perhaps a jazz lounge in Marseille… and when you enter the backyard you are in Tulum.
The drinks are expert and the oyster bar offering is perfection.

If you like the velvet rope treatment in a downtempo nabe, with a big WAIT sign at the door and obvious spots at the bar, then this is your go to

This is an incredible bar! Second visit was better than our previous time. We had some spectacular cocktails - specifically the clarified cocktails. The owners were there and made recommendations as well as great conversation. The vibe at this bar is second to none. I recommend this spot for those into cocktails and those who just want to have a great night out at a unique bar.

This used to be under different management. Unfortunately it has gone downhill with the new owners - super arrogant and rude.
Post-review edit: always great when the owner stalks you on instagram and sends you a harassing message on top of a rude reply to your review. Looking through other less than 5 star reviews there seems to be a trend of attempted bullying. Keeping this review up as I won’t be harassed out of it, and hope others will be ok to post their truthful experience of the bar here.
Nice decor but the cocktails are too experimental. My mezcal cocktail came with some black salt and avocado oil which were not listed as ingredients. They made the drink taste like salad dressing and the salt stained my lips black. Weird and unnecessary.

cocktails are good but 4% 'operation fee' on top of the price is criminal
This is the best bar in NYC!

Drinks are creative and delicious, and the atmosphere of the backyard area is great for a night out. I would, however, skip the charcuterie plates, they are a bit overpriced for what you get. Mine, for example included wheat thins. But absolutely go for the drinks!!

Stopped by this place. Our group ordered 3 George Washington’s. It was straight sugar syrup and alcohol - no kiwi or basil anywhere near what we ordered. We also saw the bartender put his fingers into the drink while putting ice which grossed us out. Very disappointed for getting an absolute mediocre experience for the price - I would maybe pay 5$ for it
Cool bar with a moody interior and a delicious set of drinks on the menu. Haven’t been able to check out their outdoor area but I’m hoping to come back in warmer weather.
The back parlor room is my favorite bar space in all of Brooklyn--my go-to date spot. The food menu is limited but the drinks are unique and always spot on, even if the starting price is around $15. Low lighting, soft textures, and a boudoir history to boot? Can't be beat!
I was hesitant to write a review as the business mocked another person that left 3 stars but here goes. Two friends and I stopped in for a drink this past Saturday. It was busy but they found a space for us in the lounge. We ordered one round of drinks, which were incredible. The large group next to us was was about to leave. One of the men in that group, who seemed overserved, tripped and fell, knocking over their table, and all their glassware fell all around us. Obviously shit can happen. My issue is with how this one staff member treated us. This guy, who had previously micromanaged exactly which square foot we were to stand on while waiting for a table earlier, was pretty rude after we got covered in glass. We tried to return to our spot on the lounge after staff had it cleaned up, and after we had settled back in he told us to move again to give our corner seats to new guests. He also seemed like he was blaming us for the incident. We obliged anyway, and asked for new waters, as our original ones hadn’t been refreshed since the glass incident, and this request seemed to frustrate him. We decided to just leave after that, due to the stressful vibes, which also seemed to frustrate him. A bummer to drop $70 on one round to then get scolded by staff after having some drunk patron dump glass on you. My feet were bleeding all over Brooklyn later. Anyways, shout out to our specific server- she was lovely. And shout out to Zombie Hut down the block where we had a lovely time for the rest of the night.
Exceptional drinks, awesome mixologists, super cool space.
