bar that used to be a brothel!

The drinks were delicious! Katerina was our server. She was so professional and so sweet. Made sure to check on us regularly but careful not to interrupt groups engaged in conversation. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable even though we didn’t have a reservation. 10/10 recommend.

Had an unsettling experience with two of the bartenders last night on 1/14/24. One bartender completely disregarded us, even though we had been waiting a while to be served. The other bartender, whose condescending demeanor was hard to ignore, seemed more interested in rushing us through our drinks (even going as far as pointing at his watch) than ensuring we had an enjoyable evening. His tone and choice of words were consistently off-putting, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth and will not be returning nor recommending to others.

Excellent atmosphere, cocktail selection and staff. We felt welcomed, not rushed out of our comfortable seat in the lounge. Really enjoyed this place - good lighting, good vibes all around :)

My friend and I went for the beautiful, dark moody ambience inside. We were seated at the end of the bar, and the seats were small and at an angle so you have to keep yourself from sliding out of them lol. There was some back room that we didn’t check out but I think it’s like a bedroom you can hang out in?Anyway, the drinks are on the pricey side which is to be expected at a cocktail bar in Brooklyn. I got a $16 drink and my friend’s was like $20-$25 I think. They were incredibly strong, and when my friend asked for more pineapple juice (it was one of the ingredients in her drink), the barback/server (I don’t think he was a bartender) told us they didn’t have any pineapple juice and the drink was pre-mixed. $20 for a pre-mixed drink!!! And no mixer to add to it to make it less strong!!! We ended up leaving without finishing them even though we paid for them lol. The bill was incredibly steep. The server did charge my phone though so that was really nice of him.

Love the ambiance of this place. It’s a perfect date spot. The lighting and atmosphere is very intimate and chić.We got there right at 5pm and enjoyed the happy hour specials. $3 off cocktails and $1 oysters. It was the perfect start to our evening. The cocktails are innovative.Recommend getting : The Primacy of MatterOver Thought cocktail. It was unbelievably smooth.

The cocktails we ordered were the best! From the first sip to the last, each drink was a delightful blend of flavors that left us craving for more.

We went here for my partner’s birthday with a few friends and family last week (around 7-8 of us). Let me start off by saying, the drinks were good and we generally enjoyed the cocktails. The service was so bad, we wanted to get the hell out of there.Since my partner and a family member had their birthdays in the same week, so we decided to have two rounds of shots to celebrate. We asked our waitress if we could get two rounds of shots. She curtly replied “this is not a dive bar”. And then proceeded to say something about how the bar is ‘fancier’. The subtext was clear. That pretty much set the mood for the evening. We did not ask for free shots or ask anything for free. We just wanted two rounds of shots along with all the other drinks that we were going to order anyway. If you don’t want to serve two rounds at the same time - there are infinite more respectful ways to convey that to us. If you don’t want certain clientele - let the customers know so that we don’t have to sit through it. The disrespect and condescension was apparent for the rest of the time that we were there. We were taken in by the reviews. We expected better.
