The most authentic and American place you will try in Brooklyn. The place is beautiful and cozy. The local atmosphere embraces you and turns you into another New Yorker. Perfect for a date, or dinner with friends. The ribs are GOD.

Got there at 6 on a Thursday, waited 2 hours for a table for 2. Mozzarella sticks and ribs were amazing. Wings, burger, and ice cream sundae were fine. Service was great, and I loved the atmosphere, it was loud as hell so some people may not like that but I have no issue.

I can’t rate the atmosphere because we sat outside, although it was chilly. They didn’t have any tables available indoors. We had the shrimp cocktail, burger, wedge, Mozz sticks, and martini. Do yourself a favor and ORDER THE MOZZ STICKS. These were the biggest Mozz sticks with the longest cheese pull I’ve ever had. So delicious.

what a cute little spot! was walking around the neighborhood looking for a late dinner and the neon sign drew me in. didn't know anything about the place or what to expect, but i'm so glad i walked in on a whim. the vibe is impeccable. there's no cocktail menu but they nail the classics; beers are pretty cheap too. but the chicken parm... oh man. exactly what i needed. so hearty and comforting and delicious. will absolutely be back to try other things on the menu!

Funny enough, I heard about this joint in a podcast and had been wanting to go since. On a weeknight, I showed up at 3 minutes to opening, was sat during the first seating of guests, and there were still 3 tables open until 5:30PM with people trickling in--the same might not be true in the spring/summer or on a weekend. $164 pre-grat can get you: one vodka martini, two frosty IPAs, a house salad, mozz sticks, deluxe burger, chicken parm, a side of onion rings, and a side of broccoli. Last night, the side of broccoli was broccolini cooked in garlic, finished with lemon and a lacy frico round. Everything came out great. I appreciated that the onion ring sauce (smoky) was different from the fry sauce (zesty/ketchup-y) that came out with the burger even though at first glance they appeared to be the same. I thought the burger ate kind of sweet due to the spread that's on the bun and against all of the briny elements from the rest of my dinner (martini olive, olives in the house salad, yum!), otherwise was a great burger. Service was great and all three people we interacted with were lovely and incredibly attentive. Overall loved the vibe--mismatched stained glass lamps throwing dim light, red checkered tablecloth AND crayons!

This place is pretty perfect. All the food is amazing. It's a pretty simple, American, bar food type of menu, but every single thing is so delicious. The Cesar salad is fresh and crisp, with giant romaine leaves. The cheeseburger deluxe is fire, the chicken parm is so good. The mozzarella sticks cannot be skipped. From start to finish, this place crushes it. Drinks too, martinis or wine. The only downside is I don't believe they take reservations and it's first come first serve. They open at 5 pm and people start lining up at 4:30 maybe even earlier. You can wait in line and put your name in, but if you're not there early, you can be looking at a 2-3 hour wait. If you're not that hungry, there's a bunch of bars around the area and shops to pop into and pass the time if you do decide to wait. This place is a must visit. Oh and the brownie sundae!! Insane

The Bernie’s hype is real and the double cheese burger is reeeeal good. Did we have to wait 90 minutes standing at the crowded bar? Yes. But everyone was having a good time, the wine selection was surprisingly great, and the bartender was really nice. The burger was just as good as I wanted it to be - Husband thought it was like In n Out. Not having access to a Double Double Animal Style very often I agree. Didn’t get to try the salads or dessert, but we definitely will next time. If you want a table you better be in line before they open. Otherwise you can vibe at the bar with us ??

I went there Sunday just 20 minutes before they open and there was already a huge line, but we were able to get in when they open the doors. Everything is good just a little bit too pricey but the vibe is impeccable and the martini delicious. I would go back for a special occasion.
