My favorite Club in Brooklyn, I love the atmosphere and its design, music as always can be a hit or a miss, but few experiences that I did go, it was great, definitely nothing normie tier, if you're in general pretty new into Clubbing I would recommend this one the most

Very chill house and EDM/Trance/Techno vibes here. Lots of fog from smoke machines. Like, LOTS. Almost felt like Jack The Ripper or a Werewolf was about to get me. Had a blast though as it's a VERY mixed crowd.

One of my fave bars/clubs in NYC! Love the ambiance and always great music selections the DJ's have to dance all night to!

Ingenuine attempt at a techno club filled with aggressive and unpleasant staff. It’s like they’re trying to do the “too cool” thing, but actually just come across as pretentious and sad. The whole place smells like human urine and there’s a lot of people on really hardcore drugs. Felt very unsafe around these people who acted very threatening towards strangers. Overall, just not a good spot- especially because the techno is subpar.

Smells like sweat and vomit. I was robbed here once but honestly that’s on me because I blacked out.

Gets too foggy, sometimes the DJs suck and you don't know until you pay $10-$20 to get in lmao. Overall a decent enough place.

horrible layout the dancefloor is in between the bar and bathrooms so people are constantly moving back and forth disrupting people on the floor - otherwise decent

Do not go here if you want to be safe as a woman. I was intimidated by 2 men and full on pushed on my chest (not like bumped into on the dance floor, he squared up with me and pushed me with 2 hands, like before you fight somebody.), to the point that witnesses started yelling at him then approached me after and asked if I was okay. Reported it to both the bouncer and the manager. Manager checked the cameras, saw it was his friend/s who pushed me, and denied that I was pushed. Only after I asked him to present the footage to me did he admit I was pushed, and he immediately tried to blame me for pushing back, and the men were allowed to carry out their night. (I even saw the bouncer laughing and dapping up the guy who pushed me after the bouncer watched the drama unfold.) Then, some vile woman who is somehow affiliated with the club and friends with the guy started screaming at me telling me I made the whole thing up...despite the fact that it's literally on camera and the manager even admitted it. It was mind blowing. Not only do they condone abusing women, but they actively support it.

Love this place, I’ve never not had fun here, despite the usual vomit odor near the bar. Small, but enough room to dance, lounge and have a blast. Even security is nice!

Bossa Nova Civic Club is the spot for real clubbers. It's a dark, sweaty, and intimate space where you can dance your heart out to the best techno in Brooklyn. The sound system is banging, the DJs are always on point, and the crowd is always friendly. If you're looking for a place to let loose and dance your face off, Bossa Nova is the place to be. Just be prepared to sweat and don't wear your favorite shoes. Here are some tips: Arrive early to avoid the lines. The club usually fills up quickly on weekends. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. You'll be doing a lot of dancing! Be prepared to sweat. It gets hot on the dance floor! Be respectful of your fellow dancers. This is a club for everyone, so be kind and inclusive. And most importantly, have fun! Bossa Nova is one of the best clubs in New York, so let loose and enjoy the music.

My favorite club in NYC by far. The vibe is unmatched with the smoke machine and the colored strobe lights. Very young crowd, highly recommend. Highly recommend the pink watermelon drink. Also, they have white label yerba mattes that are so good and give you energy for $6. Drinks are $12 for very yummy cocktails. I've been to a bunch of clubs and not a single one stands up to Bossa.
