Weather turned nicer but still a bit chilly. Saw all doors/garage openings at Brooklyn Kura opened. Thought we could enjoy the brewery seating with the dogs but note to dog owners: they don’t allow dogs inside even though it’s just all open space now. Come on a less chilly & cloudy day!
LOVE the sake tasting experiences and tours here! Tim is such a great sake educator and the different tastings and pairings they offer are excellent. The information is broken down in such a digestible way that it's easy to remember and use the things we learned in class to buy and order sake at a restaurant or store. Plus it's great to stick around and enjoy more of Brooklyn Kura's sake and their focaccia bread is worth making the trip for alone!
This class, and Timothy, were awesome. Timothy is a great speaker, engaging, informative, and always with a good answer. The sakes selected were delicious and really dispelled the myth that only poor sake should be warmed. We had a range of sakes that demonstrated wonderful flavor profiles and textures both hot and cold that really helped one understand the impact different temperatures can have. Timothy kept things moving with new information and a new slant on your next sake...
