The best hidden gem of Brooklyn… emphasis on the hidden. There should really be more signs leading customers to this beautiful establishment, as it’s in a remote corner of Industry city. I went on a busy Saturday where Industry City was buzzing, but I was only one of three customers at Bitter Monk for the hour I spent there. Cocktails and snacks are thoughtfully crafted, perfect for a cozy but sophisticated date spot. Spread the word :)

Bitter Monk is a pretty little bar with a classy and relaxed ambiance. The establishment is known for its unique, creative, and well-crafted cocktails that are worth the price tag. Signature drinks include the Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, a perfectly balanced and complex cocktail, and the Queen of the Desert, a cool and refreshing drink with a spicy finish. For those not drinking alcohol, the butterfly field mocktail is highly recommended. The food is also quite good, with highlights being the truffle popcorn and the juicy lemongrass chicken ginger dumplings. The staff is friendly, attentive, and ready with recommendations, providing an incredible experience. The bartenders are clearly passionate about their craft.
