I moved to the neighborhood in late 2020 and this place has been my favorite coffee place around since I started going at some point in 2021. It just occurred to me that this is one of the only places I can think of from my entire life that has maintained an excellent product for several years AND where every single person I've ever been helped by there is suuuuper nice. That's a big deal, as most of the coffee places I go to in Manhattan around where I work, the employees are perfectly competent and helpful but usually pretty cold. Never change, Brooklyn Perk!

Walked in to a wall of scowls. The ladies behind the counter looked mad. The attitude was sour, and unfortunately the espresso followed suit. Meh. Zero warmth, zero hospitality. Just bad vibes. Not worth the detour unless you enjoy caffeine with a side of contempt.

Owner is really creepy and the tea selection leaves a lot to be desired

Delicious coffee and beautiful latte art. I ordered a cappuccino and it was amazing. The space was nice and cozy as well. The barista working was very friendly and made a wonderful drink.

Brooklyn Perk is an excellent coffee shop with ample seating and a lovely ambiance. I received my drink quickly, and there are chargers available. It’s conveniently located near Prospect Park, making it a great spot to grab a coffee before heading to the park. The area also features several cute shops. Highly recommended!

Ordered a small iced black coffee. Be forewarned — it’ll put some hair on your chest :P. Just the way I like it.

Staff is superb: warm, inviting, and accommodating. They acknowledged me when I first walked in. The barista noticed I was staring at my cup with a quizzical look when I got my order and asked if everything was fine. I asked if this was the 12 oz and he said it was; did I want a bigger size? I said no, just looked smaller than I anticipated. He said he could give me a bigger size, it was no issue. While I declined, his level of customer service really stood out to me.

Appreciate folks like the staff here as they make neighborhoods feel special.

Sigh... probably the best coffee in the area for now but this place is very often not open on the morning when they say they'll be open.

Mocha Latte. Exceptional cup of coffee. Not too sweet. Perfectly sweet. Finished it moments before the bus arrived. Nice experience.

The cardamom donut is my absolute fave. I recommend getting one with a lavender or rose latte if you like hot tea!

good place to do some work on laptop. wasn’t a fan of the music for a coffee shop (top 40 pop songs) but that’s just preference. coffee is just okay. i never really taste the syrup flavors.
