I love Burly in general, but this specific location has a great vibe, a great book selection, and I couldn't tell you why, but my latte drinks always just seem to taste better here. And bonus points, the music is always really good—two of my favorite albums I've gotten my hands on so far this year were thanks to the baristas on duty.
Best matcha around this neighborhood which is very hard to find. The pastries are great, the staff is nice which is also rare and the concept is awesome. They have a large selection of books and strongly curated from social justice to poetry to classics for cheap. They don’t get annoyed if want to customize your order which I really appreciate. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 7 years, this place is fairly new and I prefer coming here over the several options we have.
Sort of hit or miss on the coffee. I always get a latte... it truly depends who is making it . The space is tiny but beautiful and they have an awesome selection of books to purchase!! They have a wide selection of very unique and interesting titles about alllllll sorts of things. I miss bookstores and its a nice treat to drink my latte and rifle through their selection, after which i usually walk out with at least one book... :)
