Had an unfortunate encounter at this restaurant. Made a reservation, to celebrate an occasion I carefully chose the restaurant. Our table was in the back, away from the ambiance, but most importantly the table being right next to the kitchen, the air smelled bad of pickled something and fish. I mean Strong fish scent. I understand they couldn't foresee that we do not like fish, but I don't know anyone who enjoys a strong fish smell anyway. Asked the waiter if they could accommodate, us by saying us at another table-the smell was prevalent only in the back of the restaurant-, but he couldn't. True the restaurant wasn't full, but busy. The saddest part I offered,that we come back at any later time, that evening, it was only seven pm on a Tuesday after all, he couldn't or wouldn't accommodate us at all. We left.The good news we had a fantastic at Coszcal but that is for an other review.

Extremely noisy.Waiters are all racist.They would not come to ur table and bring u anything you need if your race is not white.I have to walk to the front and ask waiters for help.

Brooklyn Roots Italian delivers an outstanding dining experience, blending casual comfort with exceptional food. The 70’s disco music pumping in the background sets a lively and nostalgic tone, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal.
Every dish was superb. We started with the crispy arancini and a fresh Kale Panzanella salad. The Roasted Octopus was perfectly cooked, and the Meatballs in red sauce were rich and satisfying. The highlight, though, was the Matty Guns Special—a dish so awesome it alone is worth the visit. We ended with an Affogato for dessert, a perfect ending to a magnificent meal.
The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, kind, and made us feel welcome for our relatives’ anniversary.
Having dined at Carbone several times, I can confidently say that Brooklyn Roots is head and shoulders above. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking real, authentic Brooklyn-Italian food. I look forward to returning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit for anyone who finds themselves in Brooklyn. 👏🏽👏🏽

Absolutely fantastic food ordered bread Pudding eggplant rollatini Rigatoni Vodka and chicken Francese delicious.
Outstanding service and the food was fresh and delicious. Felt like coming to visit my families restaurant. The pasta was done well and the meatballs incredible. The scallops are special. Salads lush and crunchy. So many great desert choices. Come and enjoy a great experience.

I loved their Caesar Salad, Crispy Parmesan Potatoes, and Tiramisu. The portions are HUGE! The salad alone was enough for 3-4 people to share.
