Great place to sit and enjoy an espresso in good company, and also a good place to read or write. Ricky the barista is the best!

Easily the best espresso in the Slope, which I enjoy in both hot and iced Americanos. Service is a joy. Jen is always up for a good conversation, and is a great part of the community.

The coffee was meh, it tasted like hotel/airport coffee. Prices don’t match quality of product unfortunately.

So, I have driven by this place a great number of times and each time it would draw my attention. Today I decided that I would stop, park and go in. This place reminds me of a small neighborhood French cafe straight out of France. A lot of writers for some reason were there this morning who just happily started up conversations about writing (of course!), travel to foreign lands and world events. The coffee and owner-who was behind the counter making each coffee-are amazing!!! This took me back to France for sure. I will be back!!
Super cute spot — LOVE the interior design and the vibe overall! Matcha here is delicious, and the baristas are always super cool and friendly. My go-to in the neighborhood! 💚

Really beautiful, warm, cozy little cafe with very good espresso. Even a little bar to sit at. Very clean stylish bathroom. All is small but very well taken care of and a reason why we love small directly owned cafes só much more than fancy or chain hipster coffee shops. - go support!
GREAT spot for coffee or beer.

Café Martin for me is the very best cappuccino place in Brooklyn. Actually, I think it is the best cappuccino place in the tri-state area. Most places either under roast the beans making the espressos sour, or they over roast them making them taste burned and extra bitter. In most places the milk is either way too cool, or occasionally way too hot. In most places, the cappuccino is either way too strong, or way too weak, such a Starbucks. In most places the foam is too fluffy and airy, or there's hardly any foam.
Most places get a couple of things above correct, but this is the only place that gets all of the things above correct all of the time.
As a bonus, I love the old world atmosphere.
For me, Café Martin is on par with Rome and Naples.
Barista is charming and the space is cute but the coffee tastes like ashes. Might appeal for cigarette pairings.

Quaint coffee shop with yummy cappuccino and warm service.
The best coffee in New York! Full disclosure, I’ve only been here for four days, but I stand by my comment as I have been drinking quite a lot of coffee. A lovely little place, wonderful people, and great music. If I lived round the corner I’d be a daily regular. And if I lived elsewhere in the city I’d make a special trip.
Great coffee and nice croissants in a cosy place. Very personal and friendly - feels like home. One of the nicest places in Brooklyn.
Love this place! I moved to the neighborhood and within 48 hours I felt like family. What a great community!
