Simply the best every single time we go! Super friendly with kids, outdoor backyard spaces, beautiful, and feels inside but open… And the pasta is amazing.I’m still remembering the mushroom special pasta I got months ago. Also, the wine list is great and good price points for quality.

The food is great. The service was disappointing. It’s not cheap. That’s fine. But, the waiter didn’t check on us after he took the order. I was lacking silverware for my main course. He never checked back on ordering drinks after the initial order was submitted. Just very inattentive. When my child spilled a drink, I couldn’t get help. Many staff members walked by but couldn’t get their attention. The server dripped oil from the clam appetizer plate through the grated table on to my wife’s lap and didn’t bother to wipe the table. He was aware of the spill. $200 for a two person dinner is fine but not with service like this. I’ve been several times and the food is very good but it seems like they’re getting complacent with the service aspect which is very disappointing.

My wife and I went here for dinner two nights in a row on a recent trip to NYC, that's how good it was. The food was absolutely perfect, we loved it.

Overall it was really good, the backyard is really nice, great selection of cocktails and wines. Would definitely come back. I think I prefer it to its sister restaurant, Swoony’s.

Everything was delicious. Caesar salad, crostini and meatballs for appetizers. Mezze crab rigatoni and the tiramisu were all so good. You won't regret coming here.

A lovely Italian trattoria with an enormous enclosed back garden. Delicious pastas and good house wines at reasonable prices. It's not ground breaking but the food is well prepared and presented. All the service is top tier from the host to the waiters to the bussing staff. Recommended if you're in the area.

Absolutely amazing food. Probably one of the best meals I've had in ages. We got the Cesar salad, crispy brussel sprouts, rice balls and crostini to start. The crostini is probably the best thing I've eaten in the past year. Topped with ricotta, truffle honey, roasted hazelnuts and rosemary. It was literally to die for. If I wasn't on a date, I would have licked the plate. The tiramisu for dessert was also 10/10. If you can get a reservation, definitely come here.

Like all good spiedini, Cafe Spaghetti’s get better as they get soggier and are at their peak when they have turned almost completely into mush. This is one reason you almost never see spiedini in a New York restaurant that hasn’t been around for at least 50 or 60 years.

I cannot believe I haven't written a review for Cafe Spaghetti yet. I guess I knew that it was going to be a hands-down success without my help, so didn't feel urgency in writing one. I had been following them from the second I heard the announcement of a place called "Cafe Spaghetti" opening near me.I have now been an at least monthly regular to the place bringing anyone I can get to come to dinner with me. The name of the restaurant encapsulates the restaurant perfectly. The name SOUNDS delicious and simple. And the food is generally simple, but when "simple food" is made with the highest quality ingredients and care is taken to the small details that elevate its simplicity without complicating it, "simple food" is the BEST food. The standouts to me are the ricotta crostini with toasted hazlenuts, rosemary and a truffle honey drizzle for appetizer. I almost always go with the simple but perfect bowl of spaghetti pomodoro. I have however been swayed by a special once or twice. Notably their linguine with lobster sauce. However I have tried a bite of almost everything on the menu as my guests have been varied and have tried different things. My kids love the fusilli grosso and the meatballs (I often will eat some bites of the delicious meatballs on the side of my spaghetti). To me, though, the spaghetti pomodoro is the perfect plate of food and I haven't had a better bowl of spaghetti anywhere else in the vast world of italian food in NYC -- and believe me, I've been trying for years.
