The black beans taste funny. Smokey, but like cigarettes not wood chip Smokey. They never had this taste before. I'm posting this as some sort of documentation in case I get sick. Certainly leaves a strange taste in my mouth.

The food drastically changed, the corn was drowning in mayonnaise, the chicken is over cooked and the shrimp was chewy. I think I used to order at a different location and it was much better than this place. Would not order from this location again food is not

Wow! Me and my family have gone to a ton of Tex /Mex restaurants, but this place is on a whole other level! First off they have out side seating with a lunch menu to choose from. "Hint" everything is good. They also have indoor seating with A/C that's not over powering. Really nice ambiance, It's just rite. The service is great. Ready to take orders on the spot. The food came out hot and fresh. I ordered the fish taco and shrimp taco with rice and beans. My goodness this was the best fish and shrimp tacos I have ever had. If it wasn't so filling I would have ordered more. If you want fresh Tex/Mex food this is the place to go.

They don't make sandwiches anymore ..people 50 and older remember they were a good truck 1st before they opened a store. Now they just want to be a taco place. There are 30 taco places in downtown Bklyn, I can stay on court st and not travel to Redhook for a taco. A waste of my time and money to find out calexico is a regular taco place now... ridiculous. Oh I'm not confused ..you were a food truck 1st in the city that served sandwiches too. And in your store they were listed on the wall but you replaced them with a burritos list. Go search online for the Calexico food truck. You will find pics of when the name meant something. Now your just a regular taco place like all the others.

Fish taco and Black Bean taco were excellent. Service was great on Sunday night. Young guy working the front was doing a phenomenal job, from the viewpoint of this hospitality professional. Outdoor seating was nice on a beautiful day

Used to love this place until they drastically decreased the size and ammt of meat in the food. Likely due inflation , but its insulting how much the quality went down it is like they didnt think people would notice. I did email them privately and kindly suggest they increase the prices rather than lower their quality. Hopefully enough ppl complain and they revert these changes.
This place is nasty. I ordered a pork and fish taco lunch box. The rice tasted instant, the beans had no flavor. Disgusting. The fish was so so, definitely frozen and mushy though. The pork was the biggest let down. It was dryer than the desert. It was like chewing on shredded coconut and was cold like they didn't microwave it enough. I can't stress enough... Stay away from this place if you're looking for good Mexican food.The food comes out slow too btw. Took 20 minutes for our order.

This restaurant has a nice color full atmosphere with an astonishing wooden ceiling and cosy booth. The food was very tasty and the waiter was often checking on whether we needed anything. The size of the portions is perfect. Large choice of beers

Sorry to see you go! Been coming here for seven years. Unfortunately the last five times I’ve come to Calexico over in the last three months have been consistently garbage.The staff is great.I’m assuming they have changed their recipes to save money? But they’ve lost me as a customer.I always counted on fresh ingredients. Ample guacamole. This is NOT the case anymore. Calexico is basic. Basic. I’ll be looking for a replacement or simple not eat a 1200 calorie burrito anymore?All the best! Calexico has always had good /great staff / people! This is a FOOD problem.
