This place is just okay. My boyfriend and I dined here for his birthday and split 2 apps and 2 entrees. We really enjoyed our first course, which was their beet salad and their empanadas with 2 sauces. Both were special and interesting and so yummy, we got excited for the next course. For entrees we tried their brisket with plantains, white rice, and black beans which was not served with a sauce and was honestly rather bland, not much going on, nothing special. We also shared their paella, which I checked with our server about before ordering. I have had ONLY bad paella in my life, so I thought this fine dining place might smash it, and I checked first just to be sure. He said the seafood wasn't gonna be overdone and the rice wasn't gonna be underdone. The rice was lovely, if under salted. Brothy almost, with rich tomato and NOT hard or crispy at all. But the seafood was a bit on the chewy side, especially the clams. I also feel paella is too much of the same, every bite is the same temperature, texture, flavor...could've used some sort of crunchy aspect like a seed or fresh radish or bright cilantro, could've used some fat like sour cream or avocado. Needed some exciting interesting new aspects, as it's just a huge bowl of the same. The place is pretty, and their bar is gorgeous, but we weren't drinking because of too much booze the night before at karaoke. Probably wouldn't come again, due to the prices...but might JUST for the empanadas and beet salad if a girlfriend wanted to...

Food and drinks are truly amazing! Enjoyed every dish we had on two separate visits. One downside: Tables are very close together so don't make it an intimate outing. Could barely hear ourselves due to the larger groups we were sandwiched between. But everything else is amazing!

This is a special institution in NYC, one of only two NYC Latin restaurants listed in the Michelin guide. The thought put into the menu and the ambience is apparent, a place that honors Latin family history and cuisine with love and care.

Food is excellent! Classic dishes with great creativity and elevation. Flavors playing really well together. Portions and prices are paired nicely, meaning you're free to order a bit of everything to try without being overstuffed or braking the bank. Beautiful space and while small, you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the people next to you.

Share plates is the way to go rather than one main per person. Some things were just ok- we leaned vegan mostly. We did try the brisket which was great. Cocktails are extensive and lovely but pricey overall so not a weeknight or routine spot-- more special occasion!

When we arrived at our reservation time we were told that the restaurant was not open yet... we had to wait 15 minutes later. It was very cold out (teens) and asked if we could wait inside but were told we had to come back.

My friend and I went to dine on a Xmas day. The place was packed and a little noisy but we were seated on the corner seat of the nice quiet back section. The ambience and the food were amazing and we had a great time!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. Every bite reminded me of my grandmother's cooking—comforting, soulful, and made with so much care but with a creative twist that made the flavors feel exciting and unique. It perfectly balances nostalgia with originality, combining the warmth of home-style food with unexpected and interesting flavors. You can truly taste the passion behind each dish. A memorable experience that I can't wait to repeat.

It was a great night overall, not my first time at Casa Ora but it is always clear why they are in the Michelin Guide, a very polished Venezuelan experience. I didn't love the table by the door, but I also never expressed a wish to be seated in the back part. Service was great everyone was super attentive thanks to Paola our server for being so great.

They messed up our reservation, and the staff had no idea what happened to it. After a bit of back and forth, they eventually found the information and seated us, but gave us their regular menu instead of the prix fixe brunch menu. We asked if we could order from the menu we were given, and they said yes. Later, they came back and informed us that they could only offer the prix fixe menu.

As a Venezuelan; this place did not hit the spot. I was going into this with not super high expectations since I am from Miami where venezuelan food is very good. It truly is a miss. Its overpriced for what you get in my opinion. The drinks are good. Don’t get the cachapas- they are not worth it

I came all the way from Manhattan to meet friends here for dinner, and it was absolutely worth it. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, and I had the chance to try almost everything, every single dish was delicious and beautifully prepared.
The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting, making you feel comfortable right away. It’s the kind of place where you want to stay longer and truly enjoy the evening. A big thank you as well to the lovely staff for their warm hospitality and excellent service. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place and would definitely come back again.
