I miss this place. I use to go with my family all the time. Especially with my dad (r.i.p ??). We knew the owners and the staff was always lovely.

I was so sad when I herd this place shut down, best Peruvian restaurant I have been too hands down! Amazing food, great service and I love the culture based ambiance they had going on, outdoor dining was very nice as well

Really nice spot, full of happy customers indoors and out. The waitresses were very attentive, polite and pretty. The menu was complete according to what I know Peruvian food to be. All I wanted was some good ceviche, and I got it: the flavours were right and the accompaniments did not disappoint. Lomo saltado was flavourful and tender. Portions are great, not too big. My pisco sour was a little underwhelming for the price, is the only tiny imperfection in my dining experience.

It is a place that I always wanted to visit every time I go there I always found it great. They have a variety of dishes that you can try every time you go there. In a month I went there more than three times And I always try something new and believe me or not I always love it.

I've been at Chimu many times and I do like it. The only reason I'll give it 4 stars it's because the fish ceviche wasn't yummy. The fish pieces were to big and didn't look fully cooked. One piece was chewy. (The lime juice cooks the fish in ceviche). I told the waitress and she was nice and removed it from the bill. The lomo saltado and steak tacu tacu are amazing. I do recommend this place.

Just like home in the caribbean. I will be going back to try more food. Everything was delicious the Tacu taco Entrada was absolutely delightful! The drinks were ok had me a little buzzed. I'm thinking about going back as I'm writing this review

8 pm, Saturday night, place was packed!! Warmly greeted by the owner. Quickly seated, ordered, food came fast (Lomo Saltado, fried plantains - with a refreshing Mojito Passion fruit! (Yummy!!)) Warm and courteous wait staff - highly recommended will return!!

Local spot, hole in the wall, graffiti bathrooms - and the best meal I've had in New York City. Absolutely mind blowingly good. Deserves a Michelin star. I love CHIMU!!!

I wasn't sure about this place but it was wonderful. Our waitress was amazing. The drinks were strong and good. I got the steak & definitely will be back.

Been dining here off an on for a few years whenever I am in the area. Food never disappoints. The mussels and entrana (skirt steak) with sweet plantains are my go to appetizer and entree.

We've been here a few times and I really want to commend this place for its consistent service, FOOD and atmosphere. The waitstaff is really nice, especially Marisa! The meat we've had here is always to order and for all the food you get, it's very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend coming here, especially during the week when it's not particularly crowded.
