Really wanted to love it -- feels like this area is so lacking of a restaurant you can just walk into for good food.Like others, had the crab rangoon toast and it was just a mouthful of oil. The filling was pretty tasty, but I couldn't even finish one piece of it without needing something to wash it down. That being said, the ceviche was TASTY and def my fave from the meal, despite being incredibly small (and lacking a chip!).We doubled down on pork with the rib bites and the chicharrones. The ribs were okay: some bites were better than other, though the bottom of the bowl was straight up oil. The chicharrones were pretty damn good, but after a relatively oily meal we had to take it home because it was far too rich. The sauce on/in it was pretty damn good, though. The restaurant is cute. Has the makings for a solid neighborhood spot, but really needs some work on reducing the oil from some of the plates. As I told my partner, "good but probably wouldn't tell a friend to go out of their way to come".

Went last night immediately greeted the host and was completely ignored, once I was greeted the host was pretentious in agreeing to seat us at the table. Servers recommendations for food were lacking any enthusiasm or description other than what they liked. Drinks took 20 minutes to come out. Music was good and drinks tasted fine. Overall energy of the staff was not welcoming, most likely won’t be back.

A group of 4 of us came here for an early dinner on a Saturday. We didn’t realize that karaoke didn’t start until much later in the night, which was a little disappointing.I ordered a Mezcal Negroni and thought it was good. We got a few apps to share: the smashed cucumbers, crab Rangoon toast, rib bites, and the chips and sauce caddy. Nothing really stood out, but if I had to pick, I would say the cucumbers were the best. The crab Rangoon toast is super oily. I didn’t have the rib bites, but you should know they are mostly bone and according to the folks who had them said, kind of hard to “bite.” For my main, I got the shrimp saltado with a side of rice. I thought the saltado was really good, but could have done without the potatoes in it. The potatoes weren’t completely cooked through. The rice was really good; I loved the cilantro sofrito they put on it. For dessert, we ordered the ice cream sandwich and custard. The sandwich was really good.Overall, I don’t think I’ll come back for dinner, but could be convinced to come and try karaoke. Since we were there early, it wasn’t very lively.

We booked this place strictly off of seeing their viral Instagram post from @righteouseats and their affiliations with the Win Son restaurant across town. I thought Win Son was a 10/10 dining experience so of course I had high expectations.Service/Ambiance:We arrived as soon as they opened, and we were quickly seated in tables for two with stool type chairs it definitely was a tight squeeze as the place quickly filled up. There is really no where to place your coat if you’re sitting in this area unless you walked about 10 feet to the bar are where there was a hook on the wall. Those backless chairs quickly became an issue for my 6’2” frame. Our waitress Sharon was excellent! She was attentive and super friendly and helpful making food recommendations, etc and definitely the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 3.Food:Food was mid for me. The toast tasted oily, the ribs were overcooked AND oily. You def needed that sauce but I wasn’t going to pay $7 for a sauce sampler. The once saving grace was the rice. It was flavorful and yummy and the chicken was moist and crispy as it should be.I probably won’t be visiting again and stick with Win Son restaurant and bakery.

Cozy and chic space with good ~energy~Some of the reviews are questionable so I’d love to suggest you check this place out and form your own opinions / perspectives! It is worth it!I started with the Mezcal cocktail & it was very tasty - especially the salted rim. I swear it had a lil extra zest in there. $16For food I *shared* with one friend.Crab Rangoon toast…I’ll be going back for this. It was interesting and oh so savory. The avocado salad was recommended by a staff member & good looking out because it was delicious and I will also be going back for this! The egg rolls are …delicious & worth it. Who doesn’t love an eggroll? Especially one with chorizo. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the smashed cucumbers. The sauce on them was a delight but they weren’t really smashed. Still delicious just not the star of the show.Because I read reviews about this I wanted to share something a staff member told me.For starters you can order plantain chips & separately for and extra charge you can order a (3) sauce situation. These three sauces are supposed to be used throughout the whole meal so I wish I would have gone in on that! Next time! Thanks Chino ✨ Grande.

Recommended by Righteous Eat. Stars of the night are Chichrron de credo and Sauce Caddy. We use the sauce on everything and it works. The restaurant is a building of its own which is unique.

Our friends and I came in on Wednesday December 20th, my first time here, to be rushed through the ordering process by the rude, impersonal server who after food came out demanded we pay the check even before we finished our food. I should add we are all people who work/have worked in the hospitality industry for years and have more patience than most, but this was notably off putting. To top it off, the karaoke woman made a comment about us as we left because we didn’t participate, when we didn’t even know there was such an event that night. The food and drinks were good, the service not so much.
