Went to grab some quick food... the chinese lady with the bob proceeded to take my order, handle money, pick up boxes, replenish condiments and then stick her hands in my food container. This was after serving the Chinese individuals that ordered before me without the extra BS! Absolutely making ppl sick and appears to be racist and selective. Health Department contacted!

It's a classic cash-only Chinese spot In the realm of the expensive downtown. This is where I go to get the reg priced General Tso. A $9 meal is better than a $12 one with small portions.
I go here when I want to save a bit extra.
The service isn't bad and they rarely are terribly crowded when I go there for lunch (mainly mid afternoon like after 3p), so I get the food by the time I walk down there.

This is the best WFH lunch in Brooklyn. The food is consistent and hits the spot when you want American Chinese. The price and portion are both better than any other cuisine in NYC by a mile. On top of that, delivery is free without any marked up prices, unlike what you get with the delivery apps.Get the beef and broccoli and General Tso. It's not authentic Chinese food, but it's authentic American Chinese, which is a cuisine in and of itself with its own long history.Delivery has always taken around 30 mins for me, even during peak lunch hours. It's very convenient.
Chinese restaurant is very old. But they make some solid food. The only downfall is if you call in to make an order it will take you 2 hours for them to deliver your food rain or shine. When you do call them. Call them every 15 minutes to make sure they didn't just randomly cancel your order.

This is a no-frills take out place. We have a lot of great Chinese food here in Seattle, but I "grew up" on Chuang Hing kind of food, and their Sesame Chicken did not disappoint. Nothing fancy, just solid Chinese Food of "my childhood." ; ) Sure, I didn't have time to see my old friends on this visit to NY, but I had time to get a takeout from these folks. Twice. ;)
