Huge Italian sandwich’s. Classic sandwich spot. Expensive but delicious. The sandwiches are meals in your hand and they live up to the hype. Definitely go one day and treat yourself. You can’t go wrong here.
There's a reason this place has been in business for over 100 years. Worth the trip to Red Hook just to eat a sandwich. Trust me and take my word for it, you will not find a better sandwich anywhere in New York City, Philadelphia, or probably even the whole East Coast. Again, worth a special trip. ?
My first visit. There are too many appealing options on the menu. The guy behind the counter was helpful and kind.
I decided to try the large Italian Combo. The bread/sub roll was disappointing. It tasted very commercial/industrial. Everything inside was good. But, the bread should be better and fresher tasting. I would go back to try other things. I don't know what the other bread options are. But, I would guess that the other breads are from the same bakery.
