The tofu Bánh mì is delicious (get the jalapeños and sriracha!) and portion size is HUGE. 1/2 is basically the size of a normal full size sandwich. The green papaya salad was also bangin’ but I forgot to take a photo. The atmosphere of the place is extremely pleasant - so cozy and really a nice aesthetic. This is a different Bánh mì than any I’ve ever had before, and though it’s not quite authentic/traditional in taste or style, it’s unique and delicious anyway.

Quick service. Coffee was okay but a bit overpriced. The place has no bathroom unfortunately
The restaurant showed clear competence. Warm workers, excellent food, and pleasant neighborhood! Their food quality never wavers and the environment is perfect. They should continue their commitment to freshness. This restaurant has earned my continued business.

I recently moved to NYC and have been to Diem Eatery about 6 times. The Banh Mi is consistently fresh and yummy. It is one of my go to eateries and once you try it, it might be yours too. Don’t walk, run!

Best Banh Mi in NYC!!
The classic banh mi is so delicious! And the chicken one is so tender. Amazing homemade gelato too! Really interesting flavors :)
John and Chi are also the most welcoming and kind people. Such a neighborhood gem!!

Cannot believe I passed by this place for years. It’s super easy to miss, but do yourself a favor and stop by! The absolute nicest people work here, and o m g the food! Probably one of if not the best banh mi I’ve had in my life (and I’ve had a lot).
Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely blown away by this banh mi. If you go on Sunday, they have a special one only available on Sunday, GET it. I got it not spicy without pate. Absolutely incredible. Great friendly service too, sandwich was worth the wait.
