Omg this Whole Foods is fantastic. Stopped by Sunday around 12:30pm to get some things. So many free samples, the salmon one was especially delicious. Also, they have a ton of parking for bikes and cars. As well as a bike fix it station. Great selection, great prices, store was busy but not too uncomfortably so. Self Checkout line went quick.

Not really a bad place, overall. But I paid $33 for one of those warm lunches that you can put together. That seemed a bit much (not that it was that good)! Then I was forced to use plastic silverware. I admit, I should have brought my own, but come on, Whole Foods, all of your pretenses are flying out the window if you cannot even be bothered to provide regular silverware. It would seem, all you need to do is sell a few more $33 lunches and you should be able to afford a dishwasher and some real silverware.Whole Foods, do not trash our planet, please.

This 3rd and 3rd location notoriously sells produce that is already spoiled. yesterday I bought an avocado and this morning only an eighth of it was edible and this afternoon I saw that the sweet potatoes have dark bad spots on them. What's with selling produce at super high prices that are already only good for the compost bin?? Last month I bought cherries and had to throw out 1/3 of them and at $6.99 pound that's a big loss. I will no longer go to this store for any fresh produce. My neighbor told me to bring back items that have gone bad as he does. It's just not convenient to hold onto bad produce. That was the last time I'll ever buy fresh food from Whole Foods. BEWARE!

Whole Foods Market in Gowanus has improved. I've shopped here multiple times recently. A few things to watch out for - make sure the prices on the glass case and bakery items match the print out. I tried to buy a 15$ item only to find out it scanned for 40$ at checkout. The deli section line - had to wait a long time tonight. Only one person working. At least they were there, they closed down early last time, leaving me without a sandwich for lunch the next day. And when I'm left hungry, my reviews are grumpy.

This store is like a rock star concert so be careful if you don't have a list of items cause it gets relatively busy if you're in a rush. Great people just avoid rachel king in the specialty dept she's discreet human poison . Otherwise the seafood dept at the brooklyn location is pretty spot on and actually pretty great actually, as a shareholder I feel decent but also proud

Be careful of the fish you purchase I had worms in flounder/ Salmon I reported this to department of health this is not only disgusting but you can clearly see there is no quality check and the workers behind the counter act like they are doing you a favour when you order and you get worms absolutely disgusting

Probably the best WF you'll find in NYC...such a weird market here in NYC, where WF is essentially the "discount" grocery store. This is like a full, suburban sized WF. No bumping into people in the aisle, and no navigating multiple stories trying to find stuff. There's also a huge parking lot (!!).Great seafood section, produce is great as always, and you can find stuff here that I can't normally get at TJoe's (e.g. serrano peppers, golden beets). Tomatoes are also more fresh/ripe here. There's a large greenhouse on the roof run by Gotham Greens - and you can purchase their produce/herbs in the grocery store. The second floor also has a wonderful bar/simple restaurant with pretty decent views, especially at sunset - they have outdoor seating and picnic tables too.

We needed a quick dessert withiut having to go to far to get it. I walked in to get chocolate strawberry shortcake, nice presentation, good size cake for $39,99. However, i noticed there was an after taste in the cake itself from the food shortening they use for baking. The after taste is not very strong but just because a few people noticed it, i would not get it again. Was a good last minute save though, the cake does have a good amount of strawberries, good looking side profile, it looks the part, definitely looks impressive. They have a an all vanilla flavor but it didnt look as nice as the chocolate version.Had it once, will not get it again. Is a shame they use too much shortening with the cake flour, specially when they are already at the $40 price point.

Great location for those living in the Gowanus area. Gotham Greens greenhouses are located on the roof. plenty of seating upstairs and you can dine al fresco. Amazon hub for pickup and returns (notes hours are different from Wholefoods hours). Plenty of parking. Citibikes nearby for those who need it.

I was in town yesterday, and stopped in this Whole Foods for the first time.I normally shop at the WF where I live, and was VERY impressed with the Brooklyn 3rd St. location. The store was HUGE, very clean, organized, and well-stocked.I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town.

Beer selection is on point with huge array of six packs and even a large selection of singles!

Was in neighborhood and decided to grab lunch. I had a great sandwich that was already prepared. After much browsing and looking at mouth watering food at the hot buffet tables, I went with a shrimp sandwich on a nice bread. I hadn’t been here in awhile so I was finally able to dine at their rooftop area. Nice views, very pleasant. Great food, pricey but fresh and delicious.

I have such mixed feelings about this place because on one hand, it's tough to beat as a hangout spot. You can bring your own food up, there's usually a good amount of seating outside, and you can bring a book/laptop without being rushed out. Frosé is good and packs a punch, happy hour means $2 off all draughts. The bad: first of all, the view is awful. It's the Gowanus with a bunch of factories looming in the background. Likely because of the canal, it gets very buggy in the evenings. Secondly, I'm never that impressed with the beer selection, and the food (that you can order on the roof) is just mediocre. Mostly, I think it's overpriced. As it is a Whole Foods, the roof (IMO) is and should be treated as a secondary business. They should not be trying to turn a major profit from the roof. I'm not saying things need to be dirt cheap, but if I'm ordering a burger from a place that's selling all the ingredients to cook it myself at 1/10 of the price it rubs me the wrong way. With that said, though, nobody's forcing you to pay the premiums. You could easily sit up there for a couple hours nursing a beer and snacking on a $3 bag of chips that you bought downstairs. Will return.
