Emma's Torch Cafe is a nonprofit restaurant with amazing food and the kindest staff ever! The kitchen is open until 3pm, and it's a popular spot with all tables full on weekends. The waffle breakfast sandwich with blueberry compote is a must-try, while the crispy chicken sandwich and fries are also delicious. The latte has a perfect balance of espresso and milk, and the pumpkin spice latte is a favorite. The breakfast burrito, biscuit sandwich, and omelet sandwich are incredible, while the pancakes are some of the best in NYC. The avocado toast, salmon tartine, and baked goods remain top-notch. The steak and eggs look really yummy too. The staff brings warmth and excitement to every visit, and the outdoor seating offers a nice experience. The only downside is the recent switch to disposable dishes, which some customers find less appealing. Despite this, Emma's Torch remains a favorite spot in Carrol Gardens for its great food, cozy ambiance, and mission supporting refugees.
