We came here for dinner and we loved the food! I ordered the DAC BIET 55/PP because I wanted the lemongrass beef skewers with a bunch of small dishes; loved the flavors and presentation. My friend had the chicken pho and the broth was so good.
The location is super easy to get to, just a 2 min walk from the Morgan stop and a minute walk to Moondog HiFi.
The only thing I want to address is the noise level is unbearable. This is an ongoing issue for NYC restaurants and no one seems to care.
Restaurant owners, please take that into consideration when you design your next restaurant.

Loved it! We got the full tasting menu. Lemongrass soup was just incredible. Will be back! Oh and we loved the tamales!

Used to be a place where you could walk in a grab a table, cozy and welcoming. New chef has turned it into some ego project.. we have tried returning multiple times to give the menu a legitimate chance, but have been turned away because we did not have a reservation every time. Wish them the best, but this restaurant just isn't as inviting as it used to be.

Food: incredible (I wish all the hot sauces were on my table every day) Value: Dac Biet is a fantastic price point for what you get and the curried vegetables are not to be missed Atmosphere: Like hanging out in the living room of a 1970s tropicalia music producer
We had a great time at Falansai - everything was delicious, the wine pairings were great, and the servers very attentive and friendly. The noise level was a bit high when we got there but can't blame the restaurant for being wildly popular :) the egg rolls and the pork shoulder were particularly good. great experience, would love to go again.
We went with the tasting menu and it was phenomenal. The blend of Vietnamese and Mexican food is amazing and just works. Service was splendid. I can really recommend this restaurant.
Elevated dining in a relaxed atmosphere.
The seafood curry and tostadas in particular I’m still thinking about the next morning as I write this.
Food is good. Atmosphere is nice. Manager is rude, condescending, and unhelpful. You’re in the hospitality business, try being hospitable. Wouldn’t spend my money here again.

From the moment I arrived I felt the attentiveness of the staff. They are all extremely knowledgeable about the wine and food they're serving.
And what a delight the food is. It's Vietnamese-Mexican and the flavors and methods complement each other perfectly. I'd recommend getting the full tasting menu (super) with the full wine pairing. I will definitely return.

I called the restaurant to see if I could cover the bill for two friends who decided to stop in tonight to celebrate a special occasion. To my unpleasant surprise, I was very rudely snapped at by the man on the other end of the phone whose snarky response was 'No - I can't be expected to do that in the middle of my service'.
I had thought my request was a fairly simple one but I would've certainly understood if it was something that just couldn't be accommodated. I get it! When it's busy, it's busy.
A simple, "No, I'm sorry, we can't do that over the phone," would have sufficed.

One of my new fav restaurants in the city! We ordered the Super Dac Biet surprise tasting menu, which comes with 5 courses as well as unlimited pickled veggies and three spicy sauces. For two of the courses, we received two plates of separate dishes so 5 courses became 7 - a fantastic value, and we had more than enough to take home. Everything we had was heavenly, but my fav dishes were the crab salad, the Chinese sausage glass noodles and the coconut pudding at the end. Our servers were incredibly attentive and friendly, constantly refilling our wine and checking in on us. The restaurant is beautifully decorated as well, with hip hop album covers and novels adorning the walls. My only note, which is a small one, is to consider adding more decor and dimming the light over by the seats on the left side of the room, so that the ambiance is just as wonderful regardless of where you sit. Overall though, had a dazzling time here and can’t wait to return.

I would say if you’re in between on coming here, definitely do! It’s still one of the best restaurants in bushwick imo from service to food.
That being said the meal I had here two years ago was stellar. I returned recently and though good, I think the change in menu format/how the dishes are served has lessened the eating experience. Dad’s egg rolls served alongside the lettuce and herbs (and eaten together) was revelatory the first time! Ffw to now just egg rolls with rice noodle and carrot is just an above avg spring roll.
Whatever comes in the red curry is always great. Back then it was grilled Boston mackerel (amazing), this time it was mussels - also great but less inventive/fun
The beef main was not bad, but for a place with a pedigreed chef at the helm (he is), it felt a bit like a mid kalbi bimbimbap meets Mexican accoutrements which is good yes, but the execution left something to be desired.
Don’t sleep on the wine offerings either I’d like to add. There’s always fun btg and bottles to be had if that’s your thing.
Lastly my dining companions both thought the chocolate cake was dry, I however didn’t. It was good. I think the issue with it was the temp! Temper that thing! It would be so much better. Anyhow just wanted to drop a few lines bc I like this place!
Superb Vietnamese-Mexican fusion restaurant. Three choices: the 5-course surprise menu (chef's discoveries), 3 courses and à la carte.
The 3-course menu was served to us: exquisite starter (especially the raw tuna tacos), then the main course (beef skewers and pork shoulder), and finally the succulent dessert (coconut cream, chia seeds and hibiscus sorbet/ ginger). Like any cuisine of this type, there can be a slightly spicy taste…
Completely conquered!
The atmosphere is warm and the welcome pleasant, as well as the service.
Dietary restrictions: By chatting with the waitress, my restrictions were taken into account (lactose free and spices on the side)

Got delivery:
- dads fried rice was with brown rice (?) so it tasted kind of healthy but overall good
- skewers over vermicelli was good
- pork chop over broken rice was decent as well
Solid option

We both ordered the tasting menu, and while it was yummy, it was difficult to share. I would’ve preferred two single portions of the rice and noodle based dishes. I feel like we made a mess! The dishes were decent but I was expecting more from a relatively expensive tasting menu. I would go again and order individual dishes instead. Wait staff were friendly and helpful!
