We had a birthday table at Faun's and everyone had such an amazing time! The food was excellent and so was the service. Their amazing cocktails and wine selection went perfect with our meal. Great options for vegans as well (just let them know in advance).

The food was delicious, but portions were unexpectedly tiny (besides the focaccia). Service was on top of it, but our server kept walking away before we were finished ordering? We were speaking to his back to get the last dish order in. The patio out back was beyond beautiful though. Probably a perfect spendy date spot - but eat a snack before.

Unfortunately I think our table was forgotten by our server and we ended up waiting 30+ minutes for our order to be taken. We flagged 3 different people down after seeing servers take orders for tables who came in after us, but were met with “i can’t take orders/I’m not your server”. Scrambled eggs were cold and portions were so hilariously small.

Tiny space (you feel like eating in a closet), miniature servings of pretentious, mediocre, overpriced food, and a pushy server, who informs you that even the “large plates” ($32 over) are small and you should order two plates per person.

Came for my birthday, table of 6 - made the reservation late so we got a patio table on an incredibly rainy evening and they could not have made it more cozy for my guests and myself. The food is incredible, I am still dreaming about the scallop raviolo. Eggplant is one of my least favorite foods but I devoured their eggplant dish, and the pesto gnocchi literally melts in your mouth. I gave full control of the wine pairing to our server, Adam and it was hit after hit. The Australian granache was mindblowing. No misses on this menu and the ambiance is cozy and chic. Their backyard is like a little fairy land. We left drunk, full, and giggly af. This should be on every resident of Prospect Heights' rotation of delicious eateries. Cannot recommend enough.

This is by far the best restaurant on Vanderbilt. Food and service are always impeccable. Incredibly welcoming staff. We love this place. The backyard is swaying too.

The new menu at Faun is exciting and creative. We had every dish on the menu. Always get the foccacia, the hamachi, and eggplant. The pastas were delicious, especially the duck confit pasta. The mushroom dish was amazing, and also the pork and beef. Desserts were perfectly light and not too sweet! Chocolate cake and semifreddo, and ginger cake!

We really enjoyed dining at faun the other night. Great atmosphere, delicious food and yum wine. The bottle we got was fantastic and I appreciated how knowledgeable our server was about all the different options. This place was very close to getting 5 stars for me but fell short in one area. It was really difficult to work out the size of the primi/pasta portions bc of the way it’s described on the menu. I was still quite hungry after eating what I thought would fill me up. Can’t help feeling like their menu could benefit from a more “small plates” vibe given how manageable (though delicious!) all the food was that we enjoyed.All in all, looking forward to coming back and enjoying with friends.
