Came here with four friends- place was dead except for two older male workers sitting at/behind the bar. They stared at us like we were in the wrong place, then said "Are you guys over 21?" We said yes, we are (we were). Then they said "Only beer and wine tonight, guys." We said okay and started to sit down. At that point they were still staring at us (ladies you know the stare of a creepy old dude who hasn't had a woman stand within five feet of him in the last thirty years). I turned to my two girlfriends and said "Actually, should we start the night somewhere else?" To which they immediately said YUP because the vibes were rancid and disconcerting. As we got up to leave the guy behind the bar said, "Was it something I said?" We said nah; just looking for another vibe. Then the other guy said "I like your belly button" to one of us.Weird and creepy as hell. Vibes similar to that of a crime scene. Don't go here.Alma rooftop around the corner was fun tho~

Great service and food! Such a cute place for brunch. The lobster Benedict and the Bellini were heaven!

I was fortunate enough to know the owner and watch the conversion of Flying Lobster from a local coffee bar to the intimate jazz club and wine bar that it's become. A couple of years ago the owner turned over management of the bar to his son, a professional jazz musician and it went through another transition. It's now become a first-rate jazz club. Joining an excellent selection of wines will be a new kitchen which has just been completed.

Feels like you’re coming back home when you walk thru the bar doors. Truly one of the greatest landmarks in Brooklyn. Amazing seafood and amazing drinks. Music every weekend and a perfect place to meet with friends after work!

So my sister and I went to the Flying Lobster for the first time last night and probably not coming back again. I ordered a red sangria and my sister ordered a beer. The sangria was made by the restaurant and in a beverage dispenser on the bar. Which I thought was nice! Homemade sangria. Great. The bartender was super friendly too. ****Long story short, a blonde woman (who apparently made the sangria) at the end of the bar was also drinking a glass of sangria. She didn't finish it BUT she told the bartender to toss the rest BACK IN THE DISPENSER. He looked uncertain about it but they opened it and she tossed her unfinished drink BACK IN THE DISPENSER. Both my sister and I witnessed this and immediately closed our tab and LEFT. So gross ****

It's not often I get off of work especially on Friday nights. I decided to come here for a drink or two with a friend of mine. I have high expectations especially when I visit Caroll gardens, I've always had great times visiting the bar scene here. Unfortunately that wasn't the case this time. The bartender was nice, so there was no problem there. The drink menu wasn't very large so I decided to go with a classic, a Brooklyn Lager. My beer was flat but I didn't want to address it because I thought It was just me, I was wrong. At the end of the bar, I saw they had sangria in a glass jug that was already pre-made. My friend ordered the sangria, which tasted great but I noticed the bartender using his bare hands to add in fruit, that was the 2nd thing. And last but not least, there were two other women, one of them actually made the sangria. Both were also kinda drunk but that wasn't the issue. The woman who had made the sangria, had a cup of it herself. I overheard this lady say to the bartender, "I don't wanna finish this, toss it back into the mixture." The bartender then looked at her with confusion, but she still decided to dump her sangria back into the glass jug. My friend and I tapped out and left pretty quickly. I won't be coming back after that..

Got a chance to chat with the owner who is a warm, interesting and cool guy. There is a restaurant next door to the bar. It was a great dining experience with many awesome seafood selections.

Amazing food, great vibe, live music. Every time I’ve been there I have a great time, one of my favorite places in BK to get a drink and hang
Great food, great live jazz music!!!!!
Simply the best lobster that I've ever had, so far. Their food is so good. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Even their cheeseburger.
My favorite neighborhood spot. A wonderfully cozy place with great food, wine, friendly staff, and the live music makes it truly special.
Live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays. There's a fresh fish menu, that is apparently the neighborhood spot too go to
