Francie has been on my list for a while so was excited I finally got to try it tonight. My party of 5 didn't wait too long before our table was ready. The atmosphere was on the slightly fancier side, but that's not to say you can't get away with something casual here as well. Service was also good. Now onto the food: - soufflé cakes: this was my fave of the apps. Fluffiest soufflé bread with seaweed butter. If anyone knows where I can buy seaweed butter similar to theirs, let me know! - fava bean bomboloni: this one was not what I expected and tasted interesting .. it was by no means bad, just something I didn't expect. It was like a donut stuffed with savory fava bean custard. - steelhead trout: raw fish was fresh, and although I didn't eat much of this, some of my party members really enjoyed it. I thought it was a bit fishy for my liking. - market salad: tiniest salad ever. also very salty. I would skip. - carpaccio: I didn't really eat this but I think the group consensus was it was ok. conchiglie: get this pasta! Delicious, light and with the clams, such a perfect pairing. bucatini: very salty, not my favorite pasta dry aged duck: obviously a must get. the skin is perfectly crispy and the meat is perfectly cooked and not dry at all. I did it find it slightly on the saltier side but didn't mind it too much. It also comes with two sides that were pretty decent. fries: get the fries! probably the best fries of 2024 so far... I overall did enjoy my meal, but I did find the portions way too small (especially given the price). Some of the items were also over salted and the market salad was just a sham.

The food is solid. Of course, everyone gets the duck and you should as well! The service is excellent and good ambiance as well. Can be family friendly as well.

Overall a pleasant experience, the food was excellent, the foie gras cannelé as a starter and the duck are definitely worth the detour. However, very disappointed with the service which was not up to par with the chef's cooking.

The food was good. The furniture was nice. Service was curt and we never felt comfortable. A big turn off for me was in the beginning, when we told our server we needed more time to decide our order. She then stood real close to us and looked over our shoulders the entire time, holding her pen, paper and whatnot. We felt rushed and ended up never fully enjoying the dinner.

Came here on a weekday night. Was directed to the bar while table was being prepared. Cocktail was tasty. The food was tasty however pricing was high. We ordered a salad that was over $20 that might feed a rabbit. Sourdough bread was good. Ordered two pastas that were also well done but expensive. We shared the duck and that was certainly the highlight of the meal.Service was good, but cold. Sommelier was knowledgeable. $600 for 4 including tax/gratuity.

The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service correct and efficient. It has a Michelin star but it does not force you to order set menus or any specific dish. The duck is super delicious and I would say it is the star dish of the house, the quantity is abundant, it is enough for 3 people. The pastas are also very delicious, the bucatini amatriciana comes in a good quantity, but the ripiene is a small dish. You have to book in advance and in general it is a very worthwhile experience.

A perfect fine dining experience. Soufflé cake with caviar is rich and tasty. So is the foie gras canele. The short rib is perfectly cooked. Dessert was tasty too. Too bad I went alone so couldn’t have the duck and cote de beouf. Also want to try their pasta. Next time. Highly recommended.

First Michelin star experience and honestly I wasn’t too impressed. The food quality was that of most modern European kitchens in NYC. The service was subpar and there’s too many staff around the atmosphere feels rather crowded. The duck bolognese was just alright, but the ravioli was exceptional. We ended up sending the fava bean back. The highlight of the experience was unfortunately the dessert. All of the portions are way too small even after four courses I am not full. They’ve only been around for a few years so perhaps they have a lot of room to improve. Also, it’s not very classy for our server to be wearing a fake gold chain and a Tupac shirt. Perhaps Peter Luger’s a block away offers more.

Absolutely amazing hidden gem. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great, portions were not small at all - and very reasonably priced for a michelin star place.

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Francie and I'm so happy I did. Everything was perfect. The staff is friendly and attentative. The atmosphere was very chill for a Michelin restaurant. I loved all of my food. The duck was definitely my favorite and worth the price.
