Easy 5 Star for this place - one of the better steaks I've had in New York up there with Keen's for me. The place is really cool with a solid 1920s style and vibe and I definitely understand why they're getting more hype these days. Our wait staff was super accommodating - a friend was slightly late but they sat us, served us and didn't skip on anything. Started with the bread, chicken pate and the mushrooms, which were solid, shared a couple salads that were gigantic and then our steaks all came out great. I skipped on the charred lemon thing they do, but my friends were hype on it. Even on it's own, it was great. One thing that was kinda funny was the drink list. For some reason a Weller Special Reserve was $60/pour at 2 ounces, while Weller CYPB was like $24? Stagg was $19. Whoever runs the drinks program might want to read up on current market values, or if they do know then I love what's going on here, lol. Solid, solid wine list, too.

If you feel like venturing to the most frantic and weird part of Brooklyn to drop $200 per person on an okay appetizer, an okay entree, an okay dessert, and okay service - then this is the place for you!!

Love a good steak and after seeing this spot on IG for a while I had an impromptu dinner here. They were able to accommodate me as I walked in on a Monday after 5 and I was able to secure a booth. We had the steak for two and although it initially came out undercooked, it was swiftly whisked back to cook more and came out perfect. The drinks were light and flavorful. The place has an old school steakhouse feel and brings you back in time, i will definitely be back.

The interior is stunning of this place and food was interesting but not the best. I really enjoyed the playful twist on Cornbread with the Kimichi and a few of the appetizers were great. For my main, I got the Fried Chicken which came with the kimichi cornbread and a side kale salad, the salad and dressing were some of the best I've had but this was the most flavorless fried chicken ever, I was stunned at the lack of flavor. Others had the steak and enjoyed it, I suppose they are more geared towards red meat eaters as a steakhouse, but I was still surprised at how back that chicken option was.

I'm happy to see it thriving... last I visited, it was over 20 years ago, and I think it reopened in 2021... the food and service were excellent... portions are big, I'm guessing it's intended to be family-style portions. I recommend the fish, hashbrowns, and desserts... I don't suggest the mixed green salad; it wasn't bad, but a bit underwhelming for a salad... We were there for a birthday celebration and all went well. I strongly suggest that you consider public transportation.

Came for a birthday dinner and left happy and satisfied despite the long wait for the drinks and questionable size and quality of the appetizers. I'm giving 4 stars based on the amazing service, decor, quality of the main dishes and drinks which were phenomenal. We had the whiskey sour, amaretto sour for drinks and the risotto and veal chop as main dishes all 5/5. For appetizers we ordered the devils on horseback (dates wrapped in bacon) not good, burnt and salty, 5 tinny pieces and the bacon missing in some of the pieces. The Brussels were average, kinda soggy. The star of the night was the veal. For a place this pricey I was expecting much more, however I might come again to try other cuts and drinks.

Classic steakhouse in Brooklyn right by the Jay Street MetroTech stop. Expensive. The service was great. The interior was a great space with booths and tables with dim lighting. We shared the Parker rolls which were good but not sure if it was worth 4 dollars a roll. Insane! We started with the salad. I'll have to say I much prefer the caesar salad at Hawksmoor and Peter Luger more. The onion rings, the steak, the pork pot pie were all very worth it. The sides of creamed spinach and mushrooms were ok. The dessert was good but nothing noteworthy or memorable. Overall a great steakhouse option but on the more expensive side.

Firat i appliedto this job right misssrd the interview. Got an email back asking if i was still interested. I said yea we set up a day and time . I get there for the trail mind you i only made one mistake, never worked on Computer screens never work3d fast food. Tickets tickets tickets. Anyway they pretended to act like there were going to hire me mind you i hit the ground running like i always do. Right racism Jealousy, i have 5 plus been in kitchens by myself 2 Michellen star restaurants. Cafes bars and dinners l. but because im black and i dont sell out i didnt get hired mind you no reference check at all. But its all good this place only suites one kind of people and thats there own. Dont eat here. Especially when there are way to many places that sell food downtown brooklyn.

Maybe I’m just not a steakhouse guy, which is a strong possibility… but I just didn’t think the steak lived up to the price. Everything else I got was delicious. But for $300+ for 2 people I want to walk away and say it’s phenomenal. And I couldn’t. If you like steakhouses I still recommend though, have a buddy who holds this as one of the best in NYC. And it’s still a great experience.

I would rate lower if I could. Everyone should be treated equally.

Those fries are $15. It's like 50 cents per fry. Same with onion rings ($16), but they were not edible. $71 dollar steak was underwhleming and just ok. Prices are equivalent to midtown manhattan, but the taste is worse. That's pretty bad.
