The tables were greasy, the floors were dirty, and the service was terrible, the overall experience was awful. Won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

As a pho lover I have to say GIA LAM on 48th Street is absolutely the best Vietnamese Restaurant in Brooklyn, if not the entire NYC and beyond for a number of reasons.

#1. With today's inflation, I was able to pay only $43.50 with tax included for 2x pork chop with rice and 2x Pho Soup #1. You will not find a Vietnamese Restaurant this affordable.

#2. The soup base is perfect. The meat and additions are generous and complete compared to other restaurants that is much less or missing certain meats.

The pork chop is abundant. More than 2 pieces are always given compared to other places. And the meat is delicious and well-cooked and char just right.

#3. They make your food fast. I ordered and in less than 15 minutes, it was ready.

I've eaten at this place for the past 5 years.

Give it a try. You will definitely not going to regret it.

It was just ok. The Pho was lacking in complexity when compared to other restaurants.

There is less and less meat available for takeout now, and I don’t know what’s going on.

I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember and watched the prices change. This might be my last time ordering here because I’m always finding objects in my food and today, it was a COCKROACH…..Make sure to check your food before eating.

Very good food and wait time. Pho, roasted chicken and spring rolls are classics, very tasty. Workers are nice and prices don’t change a lot. Plus guava candy at the register. You can get chicken on rice for 8-9 or just chicken for 6.

It feels like the 80s, without modern decoration.

A local institution that has survived the sands of time by maintaining its staples for an affordable price. Consistent and best enjoyed dining in.

Food quality has gone down over the years. Pho is missing a few ingredients listed on the menu. Pork chop over rice isn’t that good anymore.
