Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

Don’t go to this in Golden crust They are incompetent. They have a ad on Uber eats to order the soup the only soup option they have is chicken soup. The lady told me last night I can get red pea soup just put it in the notes on Uber eats for the chicken soup. They brought me chicken soup anyway so I pay for Uber eats for nothing to get something. I don’t want. They are highly incompetent.

This is the go to place for patties and Caribbean food
They have a lot of stores in Brooklyn and this one is on my main drag, but sometimes I have to seek them out when I’m in other neighborhoods,

I was in a rush and already late for work and the Lady who took my order was EXTREMELY RUDE and Nasty. Her skin and clothes looked dirty and she got angry with me because I ordered 2 chicken patties and I asked for coco bread and I asked for water with it. She said I ordered it wrong and was like I should’ve asked for the $7 special.. and while I was trying to clarify that and order something else and she kept talking over me trying to “teach” how I should order. And she was talking crap and making jokes to her co worker about me saying that she needs to “teach” me how to order food.
And to make things WORSE she only gave me 1 water and 1 coco bread when I asked for 2 of everything. She was too busy running her mouth to pay attention of what I was asking her for!! And I ended up late for work

We were looking for a quick bite place with warm dishes. Happened to see this restaurant with couple tables for sit down and eat. We ordered Jerk and Curried chicken specials for only $6 each. Food is plenty and tasty. Service is quick and nice. Table and room are clean. Chicken cooked very tender and flavorful. We enjoyed the quick bite food quality and the good value.

Big disgrace! Why serve people food that you wouldn’t even serve your dog!!uber eats order….first I’m seeing orange color rice and peas! ( who puts sazon in rice and peas) First time in my life! Then the white rice soggy! The goat taste stale and NOT to mention the grease balls uno a sell that is Not festival or Johnny cakes!!!! ( I took one bite and spit it out as you can see in the picture the amount of oil that came out of the festival and Johnny cake I could open a oil factory) Why are you people so heartless!! Lock down shop man if you can’t deliver proper food! Not to mention the after oily taste in my mouth! Thank god for my refund on uber eats golden Krust..SHAME on you with uno TASTE BAD …STALE…OILY food! I should’ve have refunded everything but I have a heart! $50 time and energy wasted!

DO NOT EAT HERE THE FOOD IS DANGEROUS . I FOUND A BUG INSIDE MY FOOD AS SOON AS I OPENED IT. I CALELD THE RESTAURANT 10 MINUTES AGO AND THE LADY SAID “OH” …. BE CAREFUL BELIEVE THE RATINGS. GO TO ANOTHER GOLDEN KRUST EVEN ITS A 3MILES FROM HOME.

Today Thursday 11/21/ 24 . I stop by and ordered Breakfast! !! Wish was very good 😃 as a real Jamaican 🇯🇲 their fry Dumping was great 👍🏿 not oily .like some other golden krust 😎

Firstly, the price was ridiculous as you can see from the photo receipt I uploaded. Okay so, I have bought Golden Krust in Queens, Harlem & Brooklyn before, but none of them tasted as bad as this one. I bought jerk chicken and rice & peas for one of the order. The rice & peas is usually ONE type of peas, but the peas was a mix of another kind of peas, which had me totally confused. The chicken was kind old/stale, I don't really know to explain it & of course, it was not spicy. The other order was curry chicken and rice & peas, but had the same issue, the chicken seemed "old" and the peas were a mixture of two different kinds of peas. The bright side about this is my son said that the curry chicken tasted good.
I also bought a beef patty and coco-bread along with 1 soda, which came up to over $30.
The atmosphere seemed as if we were at a place back in the early 2000's, it was not appealing to the eyes.

I stumbled into this spot and didn’t regret it!! Oxtails are always a winner. I ordered the small portion and it was packed with the rice and bean and tender oxtail. The oxtail was tender and flavorful! The lady that took my order was helpful and sweet. I finished the whole order in the car. I didn’t want to share it with anyone.

The young girl was crushing over the gentlemen not pay attention and flooded my plate with gravy spilling out of the bag.I ORDERED CURRY CHICKEN AND THE CHICKEN IS UN COOKED .THE FOOD QAULTY IS TERRIBLE.

Simply wanted to share my experience as a customer for few months. The food is delicious, fish, chowmein, rice & peas, just to name a few....It's imperative to note, one reason I keep returning, is because of Laverne.Excellent customer service skills! Keep up the good work Laverne!!!Loyal customer
