Good Taste Reviews
The food is ok, but if I pay $18 for a food ,they asked me which Legume do I want, Pork or Turkey, that happened twice no meat in the Legume. That’s crazy!! Idk, if they do that to everybody buying food there.
My first time at Good Taste, the place was clean and they served a good portion. However, the person that served me yesterday on 7/23/22 was very rude. I asked for salad there was none , she offered macaroni. I said a big place like that don’t have salad. She turned around and accused me of yelling at her. I responded to that I didn’t scream at her. She said speak in creole so I could cursed you out. She didn’t mind that they were a lot customer in line to argue with me....read full review

Good Taste is a welcoming Haitian restaurant in Brooklyn, offering a variety of authentic dishes like griot, fried chicken, and mac and cheese. The legume, rice, and beans dish is a must-try. The restaurant's spacious layout is perfect for a casual dining experience. Prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. The menu could be better understood by non-Haitian customers.
The restaurant's flavors and serving sizes have impressed many first-time visitors, who describe the dishes as delicious and satisfying. The fish entree, with its lovely mix of onions and peppers, is complemented by a tangy, tender, and crispy pickled orange side sauce. The beef and eggplant entree is also a favorite, with its savory and smoky flavors. The sides, such as the buttery and oily white side (barley?) and the fragrant and powerful brown side (millet?), are equally praised.
While the workers may have limited English proficiency, customers have found that pointing and gesturing can help navigate the menu. The restaurant's popularity is evident, with long lines and a reputation as a local favorite. Customers are eager to return and try the fresh daily soup and lalo, impressed by the amazing prices and delicious food.
