Such a special spot. A break from the sushi places in NYC that are all the same. Homestyle japanese comfort foods too. Best agedashi tofu. Casual date spot after a walk on the BK promenade.
With the spectacular flavors of the East, exquisite sushi, as well as its desserts... beers... accompanied by excellent service

The pricing is pretty reasonable. The space is adorable and conveniently located near the train station. I highly recommend the panko-fried eel, which was absolutely delicious. The salmon skin sushi was also a great choice. However, I wouldn’t recommend the smoked salmon. The menu described it as having spicy mayo and jalapeño, but it didn’t quite live up to that expectation. Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual meal in a nice neighborhood..

We LOVE the food here. Cosy atmosphere with delicious fresh food. Seasonal lunch specials that change daily. Beef sukiyaki is my husbands go to and mine is their yellowtail collar! Divine! The staff are always so warm and welcoming.

The food is amazing. I ordered salmon sushi roll, spicy tuna roll (recommended), tuna sashimi, salmon belly sashimi.
The servers are nice and quick to serve. Recommended if you loved sushi.

Mid sushi compared to prices. Horrible service (waitress had a stick up her ahh and weird attitude for service industry), atmosphere was average. They were rushing us out the restaurant, never asked if we wanted anything else, never said thank you or bye. Left the restaurant still hungry and unsatisfied. Would definitely not go back but you do you if you decide to go

My go to Japanse place. Front of house could be a bit nicer but the food is very tasty and always great quality. Rustic interior and just an overall gem of a place!

This store is located in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.
All dishes are very delicious. We recommend the miso-marinated salmon, the daily obanzai, and the Kyoto-style futomaki. The shop has a homely and comfortable atmosphere.

Waitstaff are inattentive and poor communicators. Gave my food to someone else.
