I visited this place with my sister for dinner. It was clean inside with a nice atmosphere. The food menu was decent pricing. The amount of seafood I received for the price was great. I ate till I had no more room left in my stomach and I still had food left. The seafood was very tasty. I would go back again.

This Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood and Bar is in Downtown Brooklyn in the Albee Square West across the street from Target and Casper Stores and I went to celebrate my husband birthday and it was a nice place they took care of us right away and the food was pretty good our sever was Hamza K. He was very helpful and did a great job in making sure we were happy with our meal and was very friendly all the way I would go again and recommend this place to family and friends they also have a room for private parties and they will work with you on catering their food check them out for any celebration or go in for a drink check it out if you're in the area

Went on a Tuesday night the bartender was unprofessional and never bothered to introduce himself or ask about what service we wanted as we sat at the bar waiting to be serviced. He did everything to ignore us while he conversation with two other guests he must have known. After 20 minutes of being ignored I put on my coat to leave he still didn't acknowledge us. As we left I asked for the manager to make a complaint, he was the manager! There was only 6 people in this place. The service sucks need new management and staff. Never going back for now. The place was nice, but I wouldn't recommend going there for service i didn't receive. What a way to start my Birthday ?

The price is fair, and the oysters are big and aw.But be aware of the crayfishes, they do smell off and taste not good. Especially when they are not flavorful even with the sauce, you can clearly taste how bad it is.That's why we left all of the crayfishes after the first try, since none of us would like to finish them.To merchant: If you can't serve good crayfish, then don't include it in the menu, and that's the only thing that ruined my dinner experience.

I came here for my friend’s birthday, and this was really the perfect place. The music was on point, or waitress was so nice, and all of the staff was generally friendly. The drinks were strong but in the best way possible. The only bad thing about all our food (and we ordered two big boils) was that all the seafood was probably about 5 min overcooked. But that’s not enough to keep me from coming back and soon!

I went to Hook n Reel last week for the 1st time. I ordered hush puppies, 2 dangers crab clusters, and a Henny martini. The hush puppies are good, but not the typical large size that's more golden brown and crunch. The crab was good, but over cooked and dry. Crab is supposed to be succulent and juicy. The house sauce, or most popular sauce is the 1 the server recommended...WARNING: IT'S EXTREMELY SALTY!!! It was so salty I started having heart palpitations while i was eating.I think it would've been too salty for a true salt lover. When I asked for garlic sauce to cut some of the salt, the server said all the sauces are salty. Then I asked for another corn and potatoes, because they gave me 1 corn on the cob, and 2 small potatoes. I feel there should be 2 corn on the cob and 4 potatoes with the 2 crab clusters. I've never had seafood boil that had very little potatoes and corn. I took the 2nd cluster home, boiled more potatoes and made my own butter / olive oil sauce with fresh onion and garlic, and added it to their salty sauce. That definitely helped a whole lot.The martini was too sweet...I had to order a shotnof Hennessy to make it less sweet, which helped a little. The server I had was pleasant. I left her a nice tip, in spite of the skimpy servings of.corn and potatoes, and deathly salty sauce.Would I return? Probably not.

Everything was good, from the atmosphere, the staff and the food. I will be returning again.

The oysters tasted off as if they were just sitting in the kitchen out all day. The seafood boil was definitely overcooked. Either that or they used left overs that were there the whole day. The waitress was the only good part. Kind and understanding when we told her the oysters were not good. Won't be coming back.

Great tasting seafood! I took my son there for his birthday dinner, and we all enjoyed the meal and had very pleasant time!! The waitresses there are amazing and very attentive. And the amount of food was massive ?! This is what I ended up bringing home.

It's a great place to chill, relax and enjoy your food with friends and family. Even also very intimate to have your first date there I mean mine was successful. So for the most part I highly recommend it!

The chowder and bisque was great! Service was very slow, covid staffing? The main meal was not that great. Music is too loud, but I'm over 50, maybe I'm getting old. Just not what I expected for the price.
