This is by far the best sushi restaurant we have been to, and I would dare say it’s better than some Michelin star places. Not only is each course extremely unique and full of flavor, from sea urchin, to Wagyu, the service is extremely attentive. The chef that was serving us has been preparing sushi for 30 years and it shows. We were so delighted by our experience - it was truly a huge highlight for us. Skip the hype restaurants and try Ishi instead. We will be back.
Chef Jack offers up one of the best Omakase experiences in NYC (or elsewhere for that matter), period. We have been regulars at Ishi sine it opened and consider it one of our homes-away-from-home. The staff is attentive and absolutely delightful... Wesley, Jefferson, Vivian, Jamie, and Wade always make us feel welcome and loved. Thank you, Jack-san!
I had such a relaxing omakase experience here. The space is open and comfortable, so I never felt crowded or rushed. The chef explained each course in detail, which made it really interesting and special. The staff were attentive but never intrusive. For the quality and amount of food, I think it’s excellent value. Highly recommend if you want a calm, spacious omakase with amazing service.
