Juice Presses are everywhere in the City. We stopped by this one nearby the Empire State Building to get a strawberry banana smoothie. The staffer was flexible and removed whatever ingredients I requested to make the smoothie kid-friendly (protein powder). He also let me try a ginger shot for free because I inquired about them. I believe we also stopped by the Juice Press in DUMBO inside the Equinox, which was equally useful for providing me a smoothie.
This branch of JP (Juice Press) is at the front entrance of a private health club (though you don't need to be a health-club member to go to this JP). At least when I visited, this was self-serve: you got a grab & go and paid for your wares on the honor system, or else you ordered a made-to-go smoothie/bowl, paid for it, and they message you when it is ready. Extremely unfriendly and emotionless staff. Never addressed me, wearing headphones, continued to ignore me while I stared at him and waited for him to acknowledge me. The *only* words he uttered were “clean green” once the smoothie preparation was complete. Then went straight back to his phone. Service doesn’t get much worse than this. Visited 1/28/24 12:30pm. This is a pattern and not a one-time occurrence..
